Digital camera reviews of Canon PowerShot SD870IS 8MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black)Digital camera Review: Canon SD870 IS Digital Camera Summary: 5 Stars
I am very please with the purchase of this camera. Very easy to use, great for getting action shots of the grandkids. Takes excellent scenery photos, crisp, clear and true color. Battery is long lasting, have purchased extra battery to always have another fully charged with me. Used to take pictures of the interior of my home, then used photoshop to change colors on walls, furniture, etc. and wala did my decision making of redecorating with ease. Would recomment this camera to everyone.
Digital camera Review: Canon SD870IS Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product. I upgraded from my trustworthy SD410 for IS, 3" LCD and wide angle lens. It's definitely faster (DIGIC III) than my old camera with better focusing and face detection.

Crisp clear pictures, faithful colors. A big improvement over my old Canon S110. I miss the optical viewfinder.
Digital camera Review: Canon does it again Summary: 5 Stars
This brand new model of Canon's well known and excellently rated SD series sports a very fashionable case, with pletora of functions and superb image quality. No regrets taken, this is a choice that definitely pays out!
Digital camera Review: Canon does it again! Great video, image stabilization and a WIDE ANGLE LENS! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm not going to go into fine detail about why this camera rocks. Anyone who has ever owned a Canon PowerShot knows how good they are and why. I will, however, elaborate on two outstanding features this camera has that set it apart: The first is its WIDE ANGLE LENS! This is HUGE for getting great group shots in small spaces, or even taking a picture of you and your wife with your own hand! It's not quite as good for taking pictures of a Packer game from the stands, though the 3.8x zoom is the best I've had so far, you just don't get in as close. What you do get though, is a STUNNING picture without knowing ANYTHING about taking pictures. (other than don't jiggle the camera!) I repeatedly get asked for advice on which camera to buy because the pictures I share come out so well... and I'm NOT a skilled photographer! I just carry my little Canon EVERYWHERE, so I get a lot of great shots. This leads me to the second outstanding feature, and actually the reason I upgraded from my trusty SD200: AMAZING VIDEO! I liked the video from my SD200. It made for great home movies because I had the camera with me all the time so the content was interesting. I tolerated the sub-DV quality because I'd rather carry a smaller camera. My main complaint was a shaky image, and Canon addressed that with their new IS series. (Image Stabilization) I'm sure they designed it for clearer zoomed in pictures, but it does WONDERS for the video! No more nausea when panning across a landscape! It's also MUCH brighter and clearer. I won't say it's as good as a DV video camera, but I will say that I wouldn't trade the every-day video I get of my son with my PowerShot for any $2,000 state-of-the-art digital video camera that, because of its size, would only be around to capture birthdays and Christmas. I've owned Canon PowerShot cameras since the S200 was first available (6 years?) and have NEVER been disappointed. They just keep getting better, and the SD870IS is no exception.
