Digital camera Review: Flawless Camera

I have had many pro cameras for many years. I wanted the ease of a point and shoot camera but with superior optics and built in software to compensate for less than perfect lighting conditions. The camera works very well, and I did not have to use any of the extra technology that the camera comes with. As with all fine cameras do not drop or sit on the camera, and buy and use the plastic film LCD screen protector to Keep the LCD from being scratched or nicked.

I've had this camera for about a month now, and I LOVE it! It takes great pictures even in low light. I just returned from a cruise and I have some great pictures from the trip that I took with my powershot. The rechargeable battery last a long time, much longer than some of my other previous cameras. The display screen is large which makes it easier to view your pictures. It has a video feature which I love to use as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend this camera!Digital camera Review: Glaring Ommission

I like the quality of the outdoor photos. Indoor photos have some problems with redeye even when redeye is enabled. I still would have given this camera 4 stars but for one glaring ommission. I have to resize EVERY photo that I take in order to print 4" x 6" photos. In looking at the specs, I see that the camera isn't capable of 3264 x 2176 resolution. Who would have thought that such a popular resolution would be ommitted from this camera. I would think that there would be numerous complaints about this glaring ommission but there isn't. This is the first time that I had a problem with a cannon camera,lens would not shut all the way and when it did it would come up with a lens error. This happened the first day i bought it and we were leaving in 2 days for vacation, so i took it and used it. Takes great pictures, i had a s500 befor this one and it still works great. I am still raiting this camera 5 star because it was just a fluk thing that happened only thing is I had to pay 15.00 to ship it to cannon and they replace lens asembly for free but, never got any money back. Fast startup and excellent quality pictures. Because most laptops these days come with an SD card reader, you don't really need the cable to transfer the videos/pics. Just pop out the SD card from the camera and stick it in the laptop for faster transfer. The image stabilizer works very well.
