Digital camera Review: Avoid Entirely

I ignored the warnings from others about the fatal "Lens Error" that renders this camera unusable. Canon refuses to warranty this condition. Camera was never abused in any way and is 3 months old. Apparently, this afflicts many Canon cameras.
Shame on Canon. This is highly irresponsible.
Digital camera Review: Avoid This Camera

These cameras have a design flaw in the lens. After some period of time, you will get a "Lens Error" and the camera will be dead. Mine lasted just under 90 days. Now I'm in warranty hell. I send it in, they pull a beat-up camera off the shelf and send it, and it lasts for a few weeks or months. Repeat until the warranty expires. Given that Canon knows about the problem and won't make it right, I will be avoiding all Canon products in the future.
As expected, I sent the camera back and got a camera (who knows if its the same one) in about two weeks. Three weeks later is stopped storing pictures. Of course, you don't notice that sort of thing until you want to see the pictures of your vacation.

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned about what I might get, but it was unfounded. Other than the small problem where my finger sometimes holds down the flash (it's in a bad position), this is an amazing camera.
It's my first Canon, and I was not disappointed. I took this on a trip to Central America into some rough country and it held up well. Also, the HD video was of amazing quality. The sound was way better than I have ever heard on a camera like this, and the picture quality was first class.
This was a great buy! I would highly recommend it.

It is so easy to use! But also take the best pictures of any camera I've ever owned! The pictures in low light have even turned out! I haven't even had to use anything but auto yet! I did a lot of research before purchasing this camera, and I can now safely say that I made the right choice when I bought the SX200. The picture quality is excellent, the full assortment of manual controls is great, and the overall build quality of the camera is second to none. I have yet to encounter an aspect of the camera which I do not like. I would have thought the ever-present pop-up flash would be distracting and cumbersome, but you really don't notice it at all. Another aspect of this camera that really impresses me is how fast you can take multiple pictures. In good light, I can easily squeeze off three pictures in less than two seconds. That's a great feature that no other P&S I've ever used has been able to match. Overall, I really can't see how you can go wrong with the SX200 and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something more than your average P&S camera.
