I gave my slr to my daughter last fall, but decided I wanted a smaller do-all camera, and this seemed like it.
Maybe I'm spoiled, but only 1 out of 6 or 7 pictures weren't blurry after a family get together [about 30 pics or so]. The SLR I had was much more reliable, and I'm now buying another SLR. I like Canon, and my wife gets great shots with her Elph.
Update 1/10/10 thanks for the comment. I'm getting better pictures; maybe the situation comes into play. Better focus in quieter settings, able to take time. Have uploaded indoor and outdoor pics.
