I was very happy to find this camera because it is no longer made by Canon. Several years ago I purchased one brand new for my wife, but the receding lens shield and the zoom button became inoperable. She wanted something very simple to operate and did not want to go digital. She is not a "techie" and did not want to go through a steep learning curve. In short, for a replacement, she wanted THE SAME CAMERA! One source had a new camera, but it was more expensive than the one I had purchased brand new several years ago. This was one of the few used cameras of this model that I found, and it sounded like the best one - plus the price was right. It arrived promptly, and it looks and works like new! My wife is delighted with it. For those who still like to shoot film and are basically "point-and-shoot" photographers, this is a great camera - and the 180 zoom gives you greater range than most such cameras. I and my wife highly recommend it - if you can get it! We were lucky, and we will certainly revisit Amazon.com when we are in the market for a hard-to-find product.
