Digital camera Review: Works fine with Digital Rebel XTi / 400D
Summary: 5 Stars
The remote control is easy to use and works with my Digital Rebel XTi (same as 400D sold in Europe). Just set camera to "Self-timer / Remote control" (second button from the top on the right side of the display). The shutter can than be remote controlled. Of course the auto focus works also when using the remote control!

This miniature infrared transmitter operates at ranges of up to 5 m / 16.4 ft., and may be set for either instant shutter release or 2-second delay. The RC-1 may also be used to activate mirror-lock and bulb-shutter functions.The Canon RC-1 remote control makes taking group photos easy by allowing you to take pictures away from the camera. The RC-1 allows the selection of either a 2-second shutter delay or instant shutter release. Compatible with the Canon EOS Elan II/Elan IIe, EOS Elan, EOS 10S, and EOS IX.
