I received mine in the mail and have now ordered 3 more as gifts. I seriously can't understand how anyone can give this a low rating. 3 out of 29 people gave it 1 or 2 stars and one of those reviewers said it used AAA batteries (it does not). So 90% of the people that reviewed it gave it three stars or better. Bottom line, this thing is amazing for the money. Me and the wife bought it as a Christmas Present and had a hard time putting it down. These things are amazing for the $$$. Had to order one for myself. No, it is not a "research grade microscope"...(PUHLEEZ!). But it's a delightful toy and well worth the money. FWIW, Astronomy is my hobby and I have multiple "high dollar" telescopes. I thought the optics were very good for the price point.
