Digital camera reviews of Case Logic DVB-200 200 CD/DVD and 92 Liner Note Capacity (Black)Digital camera Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased tow of these to hold all my DVD's. They take up no space at all and easy to use.
Digital camera Review: Excellent space saver Summary: 4 Stars
This binder is a great solution for those individuals whose DVD/Blu-Ray libraries have expanded beyond their current shelf storage systems. The binder is big-- 7 inches wide is bigger than you think, and holds between 92 and 200 movies. Each page has room for 2 cover-art sheets and 4 discs, plus 16 slip-in slots in the cover of the case. To get the maximum storage possible, you need to either double-up the cover art, or go without. The case works really well for TV sets, where you often require multiple pages for discs for just a single cover art slip.
A few of the things I like about this case:
1. Solid construction-- does not seem like it will break down quickly even when filled to maximum capacity
2. Good storage space, especially compared to the competition
3. Stores full-size (dvd/blu-ray) cover art
4. Inexpensive alternative as compared to similar products
A few things I think could be improved:
1. I would like to be able to store 4 cover art slips on each page instead of 2. This could have been achieved with a different design using 2 plastic layers instead of one, providing 4 overlapping pockets.
2. It's a pain to add pages to the binder anywhere but in the front, as, unlike a standard 3-ring binder, the rings open from the front (first page) of the binder rather than the middle. This allows the binder to be a bit more compact, but does make it more difficult to add pages in the middle/end.
3. There is no place to add page numbers to the individual pages, and no place to add a binder number on the (outside) spine. Therefore, if you get sick of trying to alphabetize due to the previous issue, it's hard to keep track of where any individual dvd is stored.
Once you make the decision to move to a binder system instead of storage shelves, this binder is a good (but not perfect) option.
Digital camera Review: Feels Cheap Summary: 3 Stars
I purchased this because I didn't research it enough prior to the purchase.
This item is big and bulky. Bad choice for a DVD collection. The sleeves are designed for 1 side to be the CDs and the other to be the CD Cover. In the case of DVDs, the cover doesn't fit.
The construction feels extremely cheap.
Digital camera Review: Finally...a quality dvd binder with style and capacity! Summary: 4 Stars
This is the best case out there for those who are getting tired of all of those darn DVD cases and racks!
At first, my wife bought the Handstands and Allsops for Xmas for me to try out....I thought they were nice, but I have 800 DVDs. I would have needed ~40 of either of these to store both the cover art and the discs, which would have been $$$. I found the Case Logic case, bought it, got it, filled it, and love it. The only thing I don't like is that when I want to insert a page, I have to remove all pages ahead of it, which is a little bit of a pain. However, the design of this thing uses NO binders rings, which everyone hates, right? Instead, it uses hefty straps. Also, the front of this thing has slots for a bunch of discs, so this area could act as a queue that when full, would trigger a re-org of the binder in one big swoop instead of each time I get a new DVD.
Digital camera Review: Good Product Summary: 4 Stars
I love how large it is and that it is zippered. My complaints though are you can't see what the DVDs are, since the only see thru part is where you can put the DVD notes. Like other reviews, I like the strap feature versus the binder, but it is a bit time consuming if you want to rearrange it. Since you have to take all previous sheets out, and then of course put them all back. But the straps won't bend out of shape like a ring binder could.
