I bought this for my wife's Mini and it is perfect. It is great for travel because you can use the computer in the case. It is small and sleek, which is what I wanted to go with a small and sleek computer. I wanted a good fit for my eeePC 900, minimal space at the sides and a pocket at least large enough for a small mouse and the power supply. This case does that well. The eeePC 8.9" units are an inch or more narrower than most other comparable netbooks. A little research showed the Dell mini9 the be the closest in size and this case had good reviews. Add this one to that list.
Quick ship and although it came in the cello bag described by others, I did not notice any odor either unusual or strong.

I bought this for my Dell mini when they first came out. Much better than the envelope style cases Dell sells with no padding! I like the handle and the outside pocket holds the power cord just fine. This case is just what I needed to protect my new Mini 9 for motorcycle travel and everyday use. The memory foam is perfect for shielding the Mini from bumps and scratches and cleans off easily with a damp cloth.
The pocket is just right for the power cord, a cordless optical mouse (I'm not a big fan of touchpads) and an thumb drive to augment the Mini's 8GB SSD.
The workmanship is excellent.
You can spend more for leather and more carrying capacity, but if efficiency and traveling light are your goals, this is an excellent choice.
