Digital camera Review: A good 2nd camera

I needed a drop-resistant camera for my wife to use when she goes out with the KIDS. So far the camera is holding up fine to drops, some liquid spillage and being handled by children. We used to have a SONY before so I can't help comparing the quality to our previous camera. The quality of the photo's in dark situations is not so good. The delay between pressing the button and actually acquiring the image is pretty long and also depending on the mode you have the camera in, the post-processing is also really long. This camera is good as a 2nd camera if you just want something to throw into your purse or bag. I'm thinking of buying another camera for myself, to take better family pictures when we go out.
