Digital camera Review: A complete failing in every way

I picked up these because I liked the idea of getting some zoom binoculars. I already had a pair of Celestron Skymaster 15x70 binoculars and loved them. My dad tried those out and really liked them so I gave them to him and decided to replace my pair with these. I took them out of the package and immediately noticed some differences. Besides the obvious zoom level, the neck strap seemed to be better quality. That turned out to be the only good thing. Then I noticed that one of the two objective lenses was loose and the plastic around it was slightly askew where it screws into the body of the binoculars. I went outside after getting the strap installed and tightening the objective lens and tried out the binoculars. Everything was double vision. No matter how I adjusted the IPD(Interpupilliary Distance) I could not fix it. Additionally, when zoomed in at all I noticed that the sides got out of zoom with one another. One would zoom in farther than the other. After remembering the loose objective lens I turned it and noticed that unscrewing it about 2 turns righted the image. Obviously this isn't a good solution.
I can't help but suggest any other option over these. If you don't need the zoom then the Celestron Skymaster 15x70s are excellent and I'd rate those 5 stars. If you need the zoom I'd suggest another brand, because the zoom on these seemed to be pretty crummy even after "fixing" my double vision problem.
These binoculars I rate 1 star because mine were broken out of the box and even if they hadn't been the zoom seemed to not function as well as it should.
