Don't let the low price fool you. This bracket is great. Priced similar brackets in local and online stores. Hundreds more than the price paid here for this quality product. Would not hesitate to purchase from this company in the future.
Digital camera Review: Best mount ever--with a little dumb luck Summary: 5 Stars
I could not be happier with this stand. The overall appearance is clean and strong. Once installed the mount could easily support my 40 inch LCD and more--I was pulling on the arms to test its strength after my TV was mounted. An included safety bar keeps the TV in place and secure. The duel actuating arms give you the freedom to easily point your display in a wide degree of viewing angles. Being able to pull it away form the wall made it great for accessing the cable in back. Very simple install, came with all the neccissary hardware and additional pieces.
Where the dumb luck comes into play:
With the help of a friend I was able to measure, drill, and mount in about 40 minutes. But as hard as we tried to get the drilled holes and base of the mount level, our work was slightly off. Even though the base would be on an angle, we continued to attach the mount and later the LCD. Sure enough the display was PERFECTLY level. It was dumb luck that the stand was not manufactured perfectly level and the hardware made up for our drilling error. Had the two of us successfully installed the base of the mount level, the display would have been tilted.
Overall the stand looks great, is very strong, secure, and allows for easy adjustment of the direction and angle. The only thing you have to look our for is making sure everything is level, not just your drilling, but the mount itself. A+, but I did get lucky.
Digital camera Review: Better Than a $350 Mount I Bought 4 Years Ago Summary: 4 Stars
This is a great bargain. Very heavy duty. Far better than a cantilever mount I bought 4 years ago for $350. Only issue is that that one of the brackets that go on the TV was assembled wrong so I had to pop 2 C clips and reverse the way the bracket was facing.
Digital camera Review: Big piece of junk very expensive to return by mail Summary: 1 Stars
I have searched a lot before choosing this TV mount. It looked to be the best. However, when I received the product at home and tried to install I realized it was a piece of junk.
The problem with this product is it doesn't have the lenght necessary to be attached to 3 studs on the wall. How I am going to attach my 47" TV on one stud ? Seriously, this is ridiculous. I have spent my saturday afternoon to install this and it didn't work on the end. In addition to that, it's so heavy to mail back that will be expensive to return. DO NOT BUY IT !
Digital camera Review: Bulky but versatile Summary: 4 Stars
The Cheetah mount consists of two horizontal plates attached to one another by a pair of adjustable swivel arms that allow one of the plates to pull away from the wall. Two large thick mounts attach to the back of the TV and hook over the plate that can pull away from the wall. The hook mounts can slide horizontally over the adjustable plate, which means that the TV can be centered on the wall, regardless of the position of the studs behind the TV. Although the hook-over-plate design makes the mount about 3" thick (I was hoping for about 1"), the ability to make horizontal position of the TV reasonably independent of the location of the studs in the wall more than compensates for the extra thickness. All told, the Cheetah mount is sturdy and exceptionally versatile.
