My personal network, both wired and wireless, is exclusively Linksys for good reason.
Linksys is now a division of Cisco Systems, one of the largest commercial network component system providers in the world. The Cisco endorsement alone should demonstrate that Linksys components are worth considering for both home and small business network solutions.
As with all my other Linksys components, the WET11 Wireless Ethernet Bridge does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. It is totally compatible with all the other Linksys components in my system, and installed and configured without any difficulty.
The WET11 can be configured for either fixed or DHCP IP. I use DHCP, and have had no problems with the unit when my DHCP server changes the units' IP address.
Since I use the WET11 to bridge my entertainment center to my wireless network, the 802.11B transmission rate is not an issue. For subnet to subnet, I would recommend the Linksys WET54G Bridge.
All things considered, this is a flawless unit at a great price.

Apparently, this product was shipped 'used' meaning that it did not come with a disk, instruction manual or cable. I returned it. I still don't know if I got my money back for it, including postage. My advice is to go to a store for computer accessories, it can easily be exchanged or returned. The wireless router that I ordered in conjuction with this from a different vendor was easily handled, no questions asked. This is the absolute worst product i have seen in my entire lifetime! I tried to connect it to my Ps2, which the people at linksys said would work (it would not communicate with my 802.11B Linksys router). i followed all of the included instructions (from linksys) and all of the Ps2 instructions and.... nothing. so, i called Linksys and was put on hold for at least a half hour (no exaggeration) and then talked to a person who barely spoke english and had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. this person told me to change a lot of DOS settings on my windows XP computer, which really screwed it up. i finally gave up and took the piece of junk back. i will never again buy a Linksys product ever again.
