Digital camera Review: IP ADDRESS IS 192.168.1.245 WITH A 1

the IP address of this machine is 192.168.1.245, so remember to set your router to the same ip range, otherwise it won't be detected. (my router is 192.168.0.1, so i have to change to 192.168.1.1 in order to connect to the WET54G, go to configuration, change it to 192.168.0.245 and then change MY ROUTER back to 192.168.0.1, man, i learn it the hard way)Digital camera Review: If I could give it no stars, I would.

I have had my WET54G a total of 7 months and have had nothing but problems with it since I got it. At first they were minor, such as having to reset the device every couple of days, but things steadily got worse. Now the unit cannot even see the access point positioned less than ten feet way from it. I contacted their customer support. They had me reset and unplug the device in every possible combination imaginable (I am assuming they were trying to get the firmware to work). I ended up RMA'ing the unit only to receive another unit that is having the same problem. Get this: you have to pay the shipping to send the broken unit back! So I get to pay for shipping twice. With the money that I have spent on this unit, I could of had an electrician run a hard line.Digital camera Review: Intermittent Wireless Connection

I wanted to connect my new music server to my network and wanted to avoid running wires under the house. I tried this Linksys Wireless G ethernet bridge to connect it wirelessly.
After three hours on the phone with Linksys Tech Support, they concluded that my first unit was defective, so I returned it to Amazon and ordered a replacement.
The second unit worked - I was able to establish a wireless connection. Unfortunately, the reliability of the connection was very poor. It only seemed to be working for a few minutes and I eventually returned it and had to run an ethernet cable instead.
Fortunately, Amazon allowed me to return both units and provided a refund.
It's a great product in theory; but its execution left me disappointed.

It seems that version 2 fixed most bugs, as well as introduced WPA encryption (firmware downloadable from Linksys web site).Does anyone know whether recent Amazon orders are shipping V1 or V2? The 03 stars ratings are assuming V2.

I had one heck of a time getting this to work with my WRT54G wireless router, and the reason for the difficulty is I couldn't get a connection when my router runs in G-only mode. When I set the router to mixed (b and g) mode it works fine. I'm not sure how this is an improvement over the cheaper WET11 B bridge. Interestingly, the WiFi certification label on the box indicates this is interoperable only with 2.4Ghz at 11Mbps and not 54Mbps.How do they get away with calling it 2.4GHz/54Mbps?
