I bought Linksys WRT54G because my D-Link which was just bought was not wokring well. The D-link kept drop off line without any reason and i can not stand it anymore. But this Linksys router works very well. It didn't even drop the line once since i bought it. I had a hard time setting up the router because my computers are using different versions of Windows. I had to call what sounded like India to get the problem straightened out. It works great now that it's all set up. I get a great signal everywhere in and around my house.Digital camera Review: A must have for the low income high tech home

A very very good router. The only thing wrong with it that sometimes there is conflict between it and a 2.4Ghz cordless phone. I have two laptops with G PC cards for them. Everything works great, except for when my roommate decides to be a smart-alec and disables it. I haven't had any problems concerning security. If you have people you know with B cards, you can tell them to come on over. The only problem with this is that you get stuck with 11Mbps also. But you can set it to G-only. The wireless utility manager lets you connect anywhere in a flash. It doesn't handle thick walls so well, but an access point will clear that right up. If you got the money though, go and get the A+B router and cards, and set it up to A only mode; that way you don't have any phone issues at all.Digital camera Review: A very difficult company to deal with

This is a bad company. I purchased a wireless router from them and, truth be told, it never really worked right. The speed was ok, but it was impossible to set up without tech support and every so often it would simply stop working. When that happened I would be forced to call tech support and spend 30-60 minutes on the phone fighting with them about resetting the router. I recently purchased a new computer and decided to save a little money by moving this router to it. When I called tech support I was told that the router was out of its warranty period and they could not help me... unless I would pay them to. That's right, I would have to pay for the assistance on their product - a working product because it was not under warranty.
So be warned that you are only buying the option to use Linksys' products for a limited time - that is if you have any problems whatsoever that require tech support. I am now trying a Trendnet. Let's see if they are any better.

Linksys has done it again! Great documentation - better than the doc for the last router I purchased from them. And this time the setup disk worked and everything got set up the first time, right out of the box. Outstanding product!
