The WRT54GL is a fantastic product. I have bought two so far, one for me, and one for my parents. Both have been solid and stable performers since the day they were installed. This router is also incredibly priced. For most people, this would be quite enough, but this model offers many advanced features far beyond what is typical for its price-point. In addition, DDWRT runs excellently on this router. In total, this is a great buy, and I'd recommend it to anyone.Digital camera Review: Absolutely the Best Router!

I had an old Belkin that finally stopped working. It only operated at 11 Mbps and the only reason I used it was because someone gave it to me. After it stopped working, a friend gave me a few year old Netgear and I couldn't get it to work and I refuse to pay $35/hour for technical support. For a few dollars more I could get a brand spankin' new Linksys and I new it would work right out of the box!
And it did! Set up was a snap and worked right away. There was no fussy configuration and no ensuing headache. This is the way technology is supposed to work.
And best of all it operates at 54 Mbps. Everything is so much faster now!

Setup was flawless and a no brainer. Works perfectly, not requiring a daily (or more often) reboot like my previous wireless router. Good range and you can change the firmware to do all sorts of custom stuff - I'm not doing that yet, but I love the idea that I have that option.Digital camera Review: Adequate.

No problems with setup. We have it hooked up to a Roadrunner
cable modem. You have to be careful to boot things in the right
order initially, so make sure you follow the setup directions
carefully. We have hardwired linux and Windows7. On WIFI we have tivo, wii,
winxp, linux, ps3, and a ds. All have worked with no problems.
Does what its supposed to do.
There are some utilities at [...], but
Software is weak. Config is primitive. I can find
no stats or connection info.

I returned this router. because It works just two days, after that I failed connection. I tried reinstall several times, but I got same problem. It was fine just two days!!
