I have been using two of these for 1.5 months now, one on a XP Pro and the other on a Win 7 64-bit installation without a single problem. These were very easy to install and configure(pretty much automatic). I connect to a LinkSys 610 wireless router that is two rooms away (about 22') with 5 GHz signal strength "good" I don't seem to have any access speed issues. The 2.4 GHz comes in as "very good".
I even get "low" signal from my next door neighbors router and "very low" from businesses down the street. I don't know what the access would be like on the neighbors or businesses because they are encrypted but the WUSB600N sees them. I recommend this product.

When I originally installed this, I put it on a hacked version of windows 7 32bit (shhhhhh) and it installed just fine, but my mother was constantly calling me while I was at work stating that she can't get on the internet. I blamed her as the cause as she was probably doing something wrong or touching things she shouldn't. Months later I purchased a legit copy of windows 7 (64 bit)and installed it (see happy ending) expecting that maybe now it will work. Thing were looking promising but BEHOLD! the same issues. I downloaded the latest drivers and nothing. After a few min it disconnects again.

*mind you I work as desktop/IT support for a banking firm. This isn't a major thing for me, or anyone for that matter, to figure out*

All in all this is a complete upset. Here I am yelling at my own mother when it was the adapter that was the issue.

I did not have ANY issues with the cheap-o belkin USB adapter I purchased a while back. And if it weren't for my compulsion to buy nice things and the fact I accidentally snapped the Belkin adapter by dropping it and stepping on it, I would have gone back to the Belkin adapter. This was a waist of money. Also mind you that I am also not running shady equipment either. I was shocked to see this kind of performance from a product with CISCOs name slapped on it.

Digital camera Review: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OR ANY OTHER LINKSYS PRODUCT

After installing Windows 7 64-bit OS, this Linksys N wireless USB adapter was touted as compatible with that OS. IT IS NOT!!! When Linksys Technical Support couldn't help me install it, they told me to return it to Amazon, and order from them model WUSB54GC.v3 . Even though Amazon carries this model, I was told that they do not carry version 3 and only version 3 is compatible with Win7 64-bit, even though it uses outdated G metrics.

The WUSB54GC.v3 arrived today, and again after three attempts to install it, neither I nor Linksys Technical Support could get it to work. In fact, the support agent hung up on me once. I have spent well over 4 hours trying to install these two Linksys products, which would not work despite the manufacturer's representation that they are Win7 64-bit compatible. THEY ARE NOT!

The Linksys support agents were inept and even rude. It took an hour just to get them to agree to send me a return authorization. In 20 years of building and maintaining PCs, I have never had a Linksys product that worked well or reliably; neither have my friends or co-workers. I swore off ever buying Linksys again many years ago, and did it this time only because it was the only one on the market that was supposedly Win7 64-bit ready. I will now await my RA number.

In the meantime, a good friend handed me a Corega N USB wireless adapter, Model # WLUSB300N and told me to download the updated driver. I did and it installed perfectly. He bought this in Taiwan for US$13, and he's going to ask his Mother to buy another one for me. Unfortunately, Corega is hard to come by in the US and Amazon would do well to stock their products.
