I was hesitate to buy this item with all the negative reviews, but I was desperate. My wireless G adapter wouldn't work with my new computer. Ordered this. Received it overnight. I installed this on my computer with Windows Vista Enterprise in a few minutes. The system has good range and fast speed. It comes with a usb extension cable with a stand on the end that allows you to place the adapter wherever it gets the best reception.
Another great Linksys product.

I just bought this product. The transfer speed is great and work very well with both of my linksys and netgear wireless router. Top transfer speed was believe to be at the rate of 270 which is very close to the 300 promised by Linksys.
The item is not as affordable as many other N wireless adapter.
