Digital camera Review: Great Phone for the Hard-of-Hearing

We bought this phone for my father-in-law, who is 90 yrs. old, hard-of-hearing, and frankly losing it a bit. Its adjustable ringer has 3 settings - he keeps it on the middle setting and hears it just fine. The voice amplification enables him to hear conversations clearly, although if a person with normal hearing will also use the phone, turn on the amplification each time rather than using it as a default setting - it will annoy a person with good hearing. The memory buttons are simple - program a number in memory, and write the name on a slip of paper next to the memory buttons. That's it, no navigating menus to get to a directory, etc. One caveat - no caller ID, but other than that, a terrific phone.Digital camera Review: Great phone and Buying Experience

Purchased this phone for my 90 yr old mother with moderate to severe hearing loss.The phone is great --easy to set up-use--features are great--can adjust volume intensity and tone -She has hearing aids -but no feedback or static from the phone!!She can talk on phone now with NO problems!!!Purchased a phone from another On -line company-worst buying experience i have ever had.In future only buying direct from Amazon!!!!Digital camera Review: Great phone for a senior citizen!!!

I bought this for my mother. Works great in all regards. She has had it for about 3 weeks now. She doesn't say, 'what?' anymore. I feel this is due to the amplified handset. She loves the LOUD ringer too.
However, the push-button one-touch dialing is why I bought this for her. SHe just presses one button and the phone dials any one of up to ten pre-programmed numbers (all her kids) and then 911. Great Buy!!!

I bought this phone for my 78 year old Mom after trying a couple of other types and brands. This phone has been excellent. It has large buttons that light up, volume control for both the ringer and receiver. My Mom's hearing is slowly getting worse although she is not wearing a hearing aid yet and it was to the point that when someone would call she wouldn't hear the phone and later she would discover that she had voicemail. When we set the phone up we tested the ringer at different volumes so that we could find the right level she could hear. It scares me every time it rings, but it works for her. We also tested the volume on the receiver to set it to a level she could hear and now she doesn't mind being on the phone because she can hear the person on the other end! Purchased this phone for an elderly lady (84) who wasn't hearing well on incoming phone calls and the problem is miraculously solved. The tone and volume sliders are easy to use and most helpful for adjusting to fit the circumstances, i.e., background noise, etc. The ringer is quite loud on medium and loud and the red light is a plus along with the ringer volume to get your attention. Have had phone for almost a year without any incidents. All-in-all a great purchase. Highly recommend. Amazon's pricing and shipping charges (super saver) are a great plus when shopping.
