I ordered this cassette adapter to replace one where the wires are starting to show. I have since went back to my old cassette adapter because the sound quality on this adapter is not very good. When I first put the adapter in my tape deck, I noticed that it rattled a little bit. I didn't really think too much of it, but when I started the first song, I noticed that there was some static in the background. I turned up the music and noticed that the vocals sounded slightly muffled and there was no bass. I tried several different songs over the course of about a week, but they all seemed about the same. I got this adapter to use with an iPhone 3g. It works very well and definately gets the job done well for the price. The shipping was fast and got here in no time. The tape itself connects to the auxiliary cable through a plug that can be inserted straight in or at a 90 degree angle so it can accommodate both types of tape player. I haven't had any problems as far as having to rewind, or tamper with either the car's tape player or the product itself in order to make it work. The only small complaint I have is that the sound is a tiny bit off but absolutely nothing so noticeable that it makes it a bad purchase. That definately isn't an issue though as I'm sure the quality of the tracks themselves isn't top notch either. I should've given this product 2 stars but i guess it's pretty ok. I bought this item about 3 weeks ago. It had better sound quality than the cassette adapter i was using before. After using it for only a couple weeks, it stopped working properly. I was listening to my mp3 player through the adapter and it just suddenly stopped. I used my finger, trying to spin the cassette's teeth but felt that there was a little bit of friction. Because of the friction, the tapedeck couldn't spin the teeth causing it to stop. It's worth the money you pay for it! Good sound...very user friendly...and absolutely handy on long road trips on highways with boring scenery!
