Digital camera reviews of Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo Earphones

Digital camera Review: A little difficult for my ears.
Summary: 1 Stars

***Edit (1/09/10): the right earbud decided to stop working. Sometimes if I pull on the chord the right way it'll go back, but only if I keep holding it that way. W t F!

These earphones are good for their price, but I've owned the typical iPod earphones and some cheap Sony and they fit better in my ear.
Sometimes I would get them to fit in real tight and the sound would be flawless and amazing in your head, but then they start to irritate my ears and make them sore. I absolutely have to get them out.
Usually, I would just put them in my ears loosely, because of the above situation is not desired for too long, but I put them in enough that it felt still and the sound was good (not great unless you turn it up). When I would walk a little and kind of pull on the cord, it would instantly fall out! They slip right off. It's really frustrating.
My roommate once told me that when your ear buds are stimulated by sound, they liquidate the ear wax in your ears and that's why you shouldn't share earphones. With these, you are putting them further in your ear and ear wax always manages to get onto them. You should clean them off or change the rubber things frequently, but the hole in the middle probably still gets that stuff up in it. :\ GROSSSS
I only bought these because they were cheap and my earphones always break. I haven't ran into any problems yet other than those, and they still bother my ears from time to time. I think you should consider the above.

Digital camera Review: A long review...

Wow. I've tried many headphones, including iPod ones, and this was the BEST deal I have ever gotten. Have you ever tried using your iPod earbuds, and smash them up to your ears and the bass seems really good? Well this is what you get, but BETTER. And best of all, you don't have to smash them into your ear!

I've had these earphones for a day now, and there great. The bass is fantastic, and so is sound quality. Beats iPod earbuds. I got these for 6 dollars, just 6, and they say WAY better then the iPod standard ones. And they cost 30 dollars! I would HIGHLY recommend someone that has a budget on earbuds but wants a REALLY good deal, just get these. Just get them.

As far as sound isolation, I am not sure for buses, but just for your standard home, its great. I put these on, and when I was watching t.v. I had my iPod on, and I was listening to some quiet music and I could not focus on my t.v. It was even on volume 10, which is pretty loud, and I could still not focus on it. These strictly will make you focus on your music, or whatever your trying to listen to on your iPod.

Last thing, for the fit, I don't know about you guys, but it fit me fine. I firstly tried to stick it in straight into my ear though, but it didn't work. So what you have to do is turn it at an angle, put it in your ear, then make it straight. Not a lot of force into it, just give it a little push, and it's in! It stays in your ear, whether your running or walking, because I've tried. Also, the silicone tips look pretty durable, and they stay on well, so don't worry about them breaking anytime soon. Just make sure to avoid putting them in your pocket when you can, so they can last you a while.

Overall, I am VERY pleased with these, these are WAY better then the iPod ones, and I got them for 6 dollars, NEW! And last thing for fits, I tried them on, they were fine, I had my mom and dad try them, they were fine, AND I had my brother try them, and he's 8 years old, and they were great. These will pretty much fit into anyones ears. This is a really good deal, so get it ASAP!!!

This is my review, hope you enjoyed reading it.
Sincerely,
Kevin.

Digital camera Review: A love-hate relationship
Summary: 4 Stars

I was on vacation in Taiwan and I found this exact same product in white and pink for only $3 USD (Taiwan tends to sell things more cheaply than the US). I thought this was a terrific bargain and got them right away, because I needed a replacement for my previous earbuds that had broken only the day before.

I loved the shape of the lower part of the earbuds, where you grip them to stick them in your ear. As you can see, they are curved, which fits the contours of your fingertips very nicely and gives it a funkier silhouette.

This product has a lot of contrasts for me. I no longer use or have this pair, but from what I remember, the sound was constantly muffled, no matter which songs I played. HOWEVER, I was completely blown away by the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING sensation of COMPLETE SURROUND SOUND I got when using them! It was COMPLETELY unexpected and very, very cool. It seemed like I could just close my eyes and imagine identical speakers in a circle around me blasting out the song. It's because of this that I gave this review 4 stars. If I hadn't experienced that, it would have been 2 or 3 stars. Seriously, that complete surround-sound effect is truly amazing.

Unfortunately, as cool as these things are, they really didn't last that long for me. I think I was able to use them for only one month before one of the earbuds suddenly stopped working.

However, despite its lack of durability and its muffled sound quality, I just can't hate this product. But if you're looking for something more durable, I would recommend you keep looking.

Digital camera Review: A poor choice if...
Summary: 1 Stars

...you have small ears (they tend to fall out easily)
...lots of ear wax (they get gross quickly)

Digital camera Review: A total waste of money
Summary: 1 Stars

This purchase was a waste for me. Amazon won't cover the price of the return shipping which would cost me more than the price of the earphones, so I'm stuck with them. I threw them in a drawer to use as an emergency backup. No sound isolation for me since the phones don't fit in my ears. The sound is "tinny" like an old transistor radio. Physically, the plugs feel very hard and "fuzzy".
