I have a couple of these Coby CD players and I've given two or three away as gifts. They all work just fine. I rated it five stars because I've never had any trouble with mine or gotten any reports of failed units. If you buy a $25 CD player, you aren't going to get a Bose or a Denon! This is our second attempt with this CD player. The first version skipped after a few minutes and then Amazon shipped me a replacement. The replacement arrived today and didn't even detect the CD. I bought this to put in my 1-year-old daughter's room because it is small and the color matched. The first one we received had to be sent back because the CD player didn't work! The second one we were sent came immediately and works just fine. This is a great product if you just want to play children's music in a child's room. This radio is horrible! The CD player stopped working after 4 months of use and the speakers were constantly fading on it's own!!
