Really, I took a risk by making this purchase. The three prior reviewed rated it horribly. But I decided to take my chances, and they paid off. The player is automatically recognized perfectly by the computer. You can add songs by physically dropping files into the file folder. I personally use MediaMonkey. The manual even gives you a link where you can find a driver if there are problems. I'm using vista, fyi. Overall, this is a great substitute for the ipod shuffle. Shorter battery life, but cheaper. PS: This player is much smaller than I pictured. It about the size of a small usb flash drive.
