I purchase 2 of these frames as Christmas gifts. One has had problems. At first it would only show a small number of the images in the slide show. Now it won't show any. I just emailed COBY customer service for the second time. I received no response the first time. I have another frame by a different manufacturer that has operated flawlessly for 3 years. I bought the frame on Amazon for a gift. The picture quality is on the below average side. What I was really disappointed about was the fact that I bought a 2 GB SD card and filled it up, only to find that the frame uses outdated technology that only accepts 500 megabytes per SD card, no matter how much the card can actually hold. If you still want the frame don't bother with a card larger than 500mb because it would be wasted with the frame. Basically the frame tells you there are no photos on the card if there are more than 500 mb of information on your SD card. The frame is not compatible with SDHC cards. Buyer Beware!!! save your money and buy a regular frame! I bought this for a present and opened it to put photos on it to present it. Well I changed the picture settings and the photos were still way to dark. Also when you go into the menu to change the picture quality you arent even looking at a picture just a blue screen. Sure would help to have a photo up to see while changing the settings. I feel like if you can buy a decent camera for 100 bucks then you should be able to make a viewer for the photos for less. I am wrong. I will be upgrading this digital photo frame before christmas. what a waste of my time. I purchased this product for my husband for Christmas and he was really excited to put it to good use but we couldn't get it to work. After waiting the weekend out he contacted Colby about a return and they informed him that we would have to pay for the return shipping and add a $10.00 processing fee for the exchange. Frustrated, I contacted Amazon and they made the exchange, no questions asked. Sent us a return label and the new product within a couple of days. Amazon even
e-mailed me to tell me that they had received the return package. KUDOS to the Amazon Customer Service people, Thank you very much.
The picture frame is sitting on my husbands desk flashing vacation pictures all day long and he enjoys watching them again and again. The picture quality is very good but the sound quality is tinney. This product is very good for the money spent, even with all of the headaches thanks to Amazon's great Customer Service People.
