This is lush! The leather is some of the softest I've touched, the pebble grain some of the finest. And I have a lot of leather bags and shoes to compare it to. It's even softer than the Cole Haan bags. The interior goat (?) suede feels like velvet. There is a satisfying weight to the soft covers, which are also slightly padded. Just got my case in the mail today, and I couldn't be happier. This is by far the best Kindle case I've seen/touched/smelled (yes, it smells really great)! It's soft and feels good in hand. It is comfortable when reading, and I forget it's there (which is really what you want). Finally, I'm not terrified to take my Kindle everywhere with me. One thing to note: it does take a bit of work to get the Kindle into the hooks. It's not a bad case; it just fits nice and tight. I fidgeted with it for a bit, and now it's very securely in place. I'd much rather have this than the Kindle loose in the case. It works nicely once you have it in. I highly recommend this case, and if you can get it for half off, it's a steal. This cover is perfect to make your Kindle feel like an old fashioned book. My mother got this for the Kindle she got for Mother's Day. While the technology for reading is new, the soft leather and beauty of the cover are old fashioned. Great quality. The only issue is that it doesn't have a clasp or tie to keep it closed. I generally don't buy covers for things like cell phones but my kindle was being used outdoors and on busses and I felt I did want something to protect it. This case is expensive but gorgeous. The leather is soft and beautiful - the suede on the inside makes me feel there will be no scratches. I'm very glad I bought it.
There are a few points to note:
- It basically doubles the thickness of the kindle
- It will fold in half but not neatly flat - you can still read with one hand but it's harder
- The business card holder is pointless
- It seems to take some rough handling with no marking - I dump the kindle in a backpack and its been fine
I'm dead pleased with the case.
