Digital camera Review: Great color calibration product

I was using Huey and it broke down recently after 6 months of use. I upgraded to this product and am much happier. The color look better then HUEY calibration. (But then again the HUEY is much cheaper).

Doesn't seem to like Windows XP x64-- hardware/software calibrates fine, but after a few hours or days the Spyder utility sitting in the system tray will crash. Not a huge deal, really, and considering there aren't many XP x64 users out there that's okay.
Works fine on my other boxes on other OS'es. While the color matching on my Lenovo L220x's is hugely improved-- both my L220x's had matching M10 firmware-- when one went bad, the replacement had M11 firmware, and I swear the greys are a *tad* warmer on the newer one, and while calibration has helped I swear I can still see a tiny bit of difference if I look hard.
Honestly I think I'm nitpicking too hard here, as it works pretty well every other situation I've used it...

Color is spot on...much better than the old spyder2express. What about calibrating brightness/backlight of the monitor? It doesn't really adjust for this, nor does it explain howto. The best it does, is it says reset your monitor to the factory default or the middle as a starting place. OK, what about step 2? No step 2, that's it. That's it! Yup, that's it. So, is your monitor too bright, too dark, just right??? You'll never know with this calibration device.

Trouble-free installation on win Xp. Works well on both desktop & laptop LCD monitors. Suction cup holds most of the time, although option for hanging is available if needed. Minimal written instructions provided. Decent instructions available at ColorVision web site and good explanations available within the software Help menu. This is my very first monitor calibration tool. The installation is quite simple, just follow the instructions.
After installation, I updated the firmware and start to calibrate. The working instructions are clear.
If you are like me as an amateur, do not check on any of the monitor adjustment features and let the software do everything for you.
