Digital camera Review: Nifty little product that actually works.

At first glance, I was somewhat dissapointed by the size and weight of the cool lift. I guests I was expecting something as large as my laptop. After using it for several weeks, I must say I'm very satisfied with the performance and construction. The angle the cool lift creates makes the keyboard much more comfortable to type and allows for a lot of airflow, keeping my laptop much cooler than before. I can tell because I don't hear the cpu fan running at jet engine mode anymore.
I used to put my laptop on dvd cases (similar effect), but started looking for something more stable when my notebook slipped off causing me concern about shock to the hard drive. Luckily I found the Handstand cool lift on amazon - great price btw, and it does exactly what I wanted. This is a very lightweight and compact unit making it convenient for travel. If you have a laptop, you should definitely pick up one of these. It'll help keep your notebook cooler and the more comfortable keyboard angle alone is worth it.

Few things in life amaze me to the point to which i write a review but here geos: This is a long review but really worth reading explains everything.
I've had it for a week now and i just want to say it honestly exceeded my expectations. This thing works so well its unbeleivable, i thought it wouldn't really work but my previous laptop cooler broke down so i decided to try because i didn't wanna spend alot of money. This thing is just great lifes your laptop and makes it great for typing much more comfortable, i guarantee a 100% that your laptop will be much much cooler and all overheating problems will be eliminated. But you will have no heating problems if your fan just works properly. It lifts it up properly so it allows the air to be circulated. Just wanted to clarify what other low rating reviews failed to justify, yes this thing is tiny i mean i have a 17 inch laptop and i can pretty much tell you this thing isn't huge i would give it like 11 inches. But it is small for a reason it doesn't cover the fan vents which are under your laptop usually on the far left side, so the air will come out with no problems whatso ever. Second thing it is very safe it will hold your laptop up and it most definetly will not slip unless you positioned it wrong in the first place. Overall, exceeded my expectation for the price and i can tell from 2 years of experience with laptop coolers it works 10x times better.
This would make a really great purchase.
Digital camera Review: Not Quite The Thing.

I ordered this laptop cooler first. I am glad it was reasonably priced. However, it was not what I was looking for. It would probably work great with a "netbook". For my larger laptop, I found it just did not work. It is too small. If you move the laptop, the pad doesn't move with it. It causes my laptop to wobble if not positioned exactly right. I paid $6.99 for this ... however, it's just super cheap foam. I realize it's supposed to create air circulation but I wanted it for the "propping the keyboard into the right place for typing" aspect of having something underneath. I don't feel this is overly stable for that purpose. When I type - my whole screen shakes.
I would have been more impressed if it was made from the same material as the wrist-guard things that people around my office have in front of their keyboards - to promote the proper placement and comfort of your hands while typing. This thing is seriously, no more stable than a fat foam tray at a restaurant.

Gateway Notebook was always hot on my lap while using and seemed to overheat easily. I looked into the different cooling pads and chose the Notebook Cooling pad....inexpensive,works beautifully and notebook is much cooler while using.
