Bought this few weeks ago. Noise level is very QUIET to the point that you don't even know whether it is ON or NOT.
At first when i got it, I plugged it into my MacBook Pro 17 (the i7 models), and Macintosh says :"It draws too much power so gonna disable it" smth like that. Then I changed to Windows Side and it still doesn't work. BUT with a USB 2 Hub that connects to an external power, this thing works. Thank God!!
For those whose experiencing the same problem, get a 7 port USB hubs that has power extension to some socket as well. It might fix the power problem.
