Digital camera reviews of Corsair Flash Voyager 32 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive CMFUSB2.0-32GB

Digital camera Review: A little slow, but great otherwise
Summary: 4 Stars

As others have noted it is a bit slow to save to the drive - but the convenience and size work great for me. I'd definitely buy another one. I haven't used the encryption. I have had no problems with it so far, but haven't had it all that long.

Digital camera Review: A second hardrive
Summary: 5 Stars

This Flash Drive is awesome. It is fast and reliable, I say reliable because I had three flash drives fail on me before this one (they all failed within the 30 day warranty so I got new ones each time but still). I use it at work and considering that my work computer has a meager 40gb hard drive, this acts as a secondary drive almost doubling my storage. Plus I can back up almost the entire drive and take the files home, YAY!!!!! I highly recommend this flash drive to anyone who needs a lot of storage.

Digital camera Review: AVOID This Shoddy Headache AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Summary: 1 Stars

Upon receiving this finely manufactured gem (**SARCASM ALERT**) produced by Corsair, the 32GB Flash Voyager model took nearly 1.5 hours before it would become recognizable and / or usable on 4 computers (and about 300 diff. USB ports) I tested on--running XP/Vista with SP1 and all updates, PLUS OS X 10.x!

Needless to say, even after following all instructions and troubleshooting, whilst taking into account user advice from various internet searches, the 32gb Flash Voyager continued it's disapproval in operating with computers made after 2008. I noticed sometimes, that wiggling the drive would cause it to connect, or disconnect, depending on its mood. Numerous times, in addition, the drive failed to display my data, resulting in complete loss.

Let's re-hash: after my initial 4 days of usage--drive failed and zapped all data 2 times. Had to re-format 9 or so times to compatibilize with Windows (OS X was a bit less finnicky, although 0% more trustworthy with any sort of data.) Out of those 4 days, roughly 1.5 were spent troubleshooting this piece of trash, and another 1 day added "scanning for errors" during every system bootup...because, hey...the Corsair 32GB drive wasn't gonna enumerate, much less operate, without scanning the disk for errors. Go ahead without the scan? Sure ya' can! But we're only letting you interact with 1 file, says Mr. Crash Poyager!

WOW-a great name Corsair should consider swapping in place of this drive moniker - CRASH BLOWYAGER!

Yes, there's a reason this is less expensive than similar hardware--because you always get whatcha' pay for...in this case, an anti-productivity, headache inducing stick of what's worth less than fecal matter. Indeed.

AVOID THIS CORSAIR 32GB FLASH (CRASH) VOYAGER DRIVE AT ALL COSTS! SPEND $10-$50 extra for proven quality, something I'm about to seek in replacement.

Or be a cheapo like I was, and get stuck with incompatibility on Vista, XP, OS X 10.6+, and virtually all other OS's in existence. Yes, you'll be scanning this drive for errors with each startup and shutdown, in addition to connecting between ports, no matter what computer--it will be hit or miss whether the piece wants to work after you scan the [...] out of it. And I can attest, it has endless amounts of [...] to siphon off to the user.

Don't become the sewer for Corsair's cheap technology/hardware components. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!

(**I did not buy from Amazon, though my window for a refund is probably up and I don't count on getting a replacement for my cash)

CORSAIR=FAIL THIS DRIVE=EXTREME FAIL!1!!!

Digital camera Review: Adequate but very slow
Summary: 4 Stars

Last year I ordered two of the 16GB versions of their flash drives. I use them for monthly rotating off-site backups of my PC files. With more and more files being added to my PC, I decided to move to a larger size. Because copying to the flash drive is so slow, it took three days to copy 17GB onto this flash drive. That included the about half a dozen times when the PC froze while trying to write to the flash drive. I ultimately had to resort to powering off the PC to get it unfrozen each time. Now that the bulk of the files are on the flash drive, I can use the XCOPY command function to only refresh the files that are different. I do appreciate the solid feel of the flash drive as well as the well-fitting flexible rubber cap (as opposed to some other flash drives that have a slide-out USB plug). And, I really like being able to put so much data onto one flash drive. Now I just hope it has a long shelf life, say, five years, until the next easily-portable backup media is invented.

Digital camera Review: Amazing storing
Summary: 5 Stars

This is an amazon flash drive.
Works great and you can store a lot pictures, music and documents.
