I have decided to buy this 32Gb jump drive to upgrade my older 8Gb Corsair Voyager GT which I love for its speed and reliability. Unfortunately, the new drive's writing speed is so painfully slow that it makes it hardly usable. Definitely not something I'd suggest to buy.Digital camera Review: Fantastic Deal! Darn Cap!!!

I purchased this item originally for $119.99 with a $40.00 rebate = $79.99. I still haven't received the rebate although I have received notice that it is "processing." That's not a bad deal in itself and Amazon later changed the price to its current, $96.99, which dropped my price another $23.00 (through Amazon "price adjustment" within 30 days of purchase policy)for a grand total of $56.99 after rebate!! Sweet!!
There are a lot of complaints about the cap and they are warranted. The cap is loose and you have to keep an eye on it or you certainly will lose it. Corsair does offer replacement caps free of charge but you'll probably lose that one too! That's simply not enough to negate the value you're getting, otherwise.
The rubber covering is supple. I think it protects the actual memory device by cushioning it more than anything else. I cannot understand the claim that it is waterproof as the rubber is loose and easily stretches while the cap never makes a seal! IT'S NOT WATERPROOF! So, if you're the type which needs waterproof removable memory, for some reason, this would not be your solution.
That said, you get 32GB of reliable storage on your key ring. It's plenty fast both ways and you can use Truecrypt (if you dare) to encrypt your files. I've used it now for several weeks on both WinXP and WinVista systems without any issues. I'm very happy with it!
The only thing I can really fault is the cap and since I'm not the type that uses this device while scuba diving, or in any sort of foul weather, I can't take any stars away for it.
Despite the cap, I would highly recommend this device even at the full original price!

This drive was a lot smaller than the picture made it look, and it's the fastest stick I've written to so far. The rubber coating makes it quite impact resistant, however the cap slides off too easily and bounces away. For a flash drive to hold 32gb is something else in itself. This is the only company out there that has a 32gb storage. The rugged textured allows this flash drive to be dropped many times without damaging the internals. With the cap to cover the usb connector is good. However, after awhile, the cap slowly becomes loose and does not close as firmly as before.
Other than that, the unit is great with storage. Transferring files such as 12gb of pictures from my notebook to the flash drive was blazingly fast. Great buy...I definitely feel it is worth the price.

I don't know a ton about these but had 5 other smaller ones and consolidated everythign to the 32GB model. It reads and writes pretty quick. The whole unit in a dense rubber and it has a quality feel. Its nice to have all your data with you for use on any pc.
