Digital camera Review: After 1 year of use these are my thoughts.
Summary: 4 Stars
I was first drawn to the S9 for it's sound quality and wide range of supported file formats. After becoming disgusted by the bass distortion caused by the EQ in my iPod Classic I began looking for an alternative. Although not a perfect product the S9 has met most of my expectations.
Pros:
-Excellent sound quality
-Wide range of supported file formats including FLAC
-No bloated programs like iTunes needed. Simply drag and drop
-large storage capacity(although a step down from the iPod Classic I've learned how to manage with 32gigs)
-large screen with great picture
-Sleek and lightweight
Cons:
-It's freaking plastic!
-Touch screen not nearly as responsive as the iTouch
-the buttons are small and menus are all around slightly confusing
-although customizable, you still don't have endless options
-It's freaking plastic!!
Wile there is a brief learning curve as you begin to use it anyone with half a brain can figure it out eventually.
The bottom line is if you want easy and user friendly for the masses then buy an iTouch. If you're an enthusiast and simply want the best performing sound and video then buy the S9.

The S9 boasts a 16-million color, 3.3-inch AMOLED display with a 480 x 272 pixel resolution. Thanks to the low-power display technology, the screen is viewable from virtually any angle. It looks great in the dark and even in direct sunlight. AMOLED turns electric signals into video 1,000 times faster than the speed of conventional LCDs, leaving no ghost images while playing motion pictures.
Intuitive Touchscreen Interface
Cowon S9's interface has been optimized for its durable anti-scratch touchscreen, with gesture recognition features like zoom-able album art, pictures, and text; TrueType fonts for clear visibility at any zoom level; and more.
Video Player
The S9 will play AVI and WMV video files, with codec support for Xvid SP/ASP and WMV9 SP/MP. Enjoy all your favorite clips and shows, and just tilt the unit to switch to 16:9 widescreen viewing.
