The Cradlepoint PHS300 does everything it promises, although the support for 3G USB dongles is limited. Be sure to check the website to make sure your device is supported. Cradlepoint is very slow to release the firmware updates to support new devices, so don't buy on the bet that your device will be supported one day. The router is extremely easy to set up, and the security options are very good. Range is adequate, although not a critical item for me a since I use it exclusively as a mobile router. Most often it is just sticking up out of my breast pocket. Throughput is more a function of your 3G connection than it is the router, and I don't see the router as a bottleneck at all. It would be nice if the unit could be charged via the USB port on your computer, but I've been unable to find the correct USB to Barrell Jack Cable (5.5mm/2.5mm) to test the ability to trickle charge. Overall, an excellent device with the only limit being the manufacturer's support for new devices. Customer service is slow, but it is there and they are reasonably helpful (as long as your question isn't too tough). I'm using with a laptop, an iPad, and an iPod Touch. All smooth sailing.
