Digital camera Review: Creative Zen's Plastic Case

I love everything about the case except that I have had it for less than a month and it already has marks on it. I carry it in my pocket or in a little soft bag I got that holds my earphones. Nothing that should cause this worn look to it but it looks like it went through the mill. Not deep scratches, just fine lines. I would have thought that the plastic would have been made of more resiliant material. As long as I am only listening to music it isn't a problem but when I go to watch a video it is annoying. I paid $20 and feel that it cost less if it can't handle the easy wear and tear that I give it. It would be different if I was using it in an environment that would explain the kind of mars it has on it. Maybe they will make a new and improved case made of stronger material.
The ring is great because I can hang it on my belt loop and it isn't in the way with easy on/off/pause capability. I use to have to put the Zen in my pocket and it difficult to turn it off/pause it or it got tangled up in the earpiece cord.
I love my Zen, it has been great at work to listen to music instead of the noise of my co-workers. The case has made it easier to do that.

It is a sturdy case. It does not lock in very effectively though. I'm afraid to use it in an actual sport setting. The back of the case slides in and is mostly held in place by gravity.
If the back does fall off though, the player stays in the case fairly well.
Great case if you just put it in your pocket or if you want some protection from scratches, etc.
Bad case if you are an athletic sort who was planning on using this while backpacking, jogging, biking... At least for me, I spend too much free thought on wondering if the case will fall apart on me and not enough free time enjoying the activity.

Although a bit bulkier than I expected, this does cover the unit nicely. It is difficult to utilize some plugs, in my case a larger plug connected to my motorcycle, but the clear case still protects well.Digital camera Review: Does what it says.

A good, solid case. It is a little difficult to put on at first, but gets easier every time you do it. One of the cons, already mentioned, is that the screen on the case scratches easily. I guess scratches on a $20 case are better than a $200 player. Also as already mentioned, the little "leather" strip is a bit fragile looking, but hasn't failed on me yet. I do not have the oil spot on the screen, and the details and colors are transmitter accurately. Some cons I haven't seen are that the case covers the SD slot and the microphone, so you have to remove the case to get at either of these functions. I unwisely opened the case in the presence of sawdust and could not get all of it off of the inside of the case. Nevertheless, it handled a four foot drop onto a concrete floor (accident) perfectly without harm.Digital camera Review: Exactly What It Claims to Be

Some reviewers have complained that the case has gotten scratched which mine has. However, isn't that what the case is supposed to do - prevent your MP3 player from getting scratched? It works great! In addition, I have no problem operating the buttons.
