Digital camera Review: Case Works Just Fine, After You Soften It And Use Kroo Case
Summary: 4 Stars

hey Kelly D. Painter (Lompoc, CA USA)'s method works (his review is a little earlier, posting here too - in case people don't see the comment I left, this method is so simple to do and would probably help all the other people who were having problems with buttons, to be perfectly happy with this leather case). I put my player in a kroo silicone case and then in a plastic baggy with a couple wraps of duct tape around the button area. Microwave a big cup of water for 3 minutes, 30 seconds and dip JUST the case in the water till the water was slightly above the markings for the top buttons but not up to the plastic screen. waited about 3 minutes. pull out. dry off. stuff the player (silicone case, sandwich bag, duct tape wrap & all) into the case and kept at it till snap close as well. left it alone for several hours (i think like 6). Took off the duct tape and sandwich bag obviously and try fitting in just my player with the kroo silicone case on into the leather case - went in pretty easy and snap easily and all the buttons work correctly!! btw I keep the kroo silicone case on as a buffer against any smudges - rather they get on a cheap silicone case then my player. Now I have a case with a sturdy, reliable belt clip that is great for walking outside with. pretty happy.

only 4 stars cuz with kroo silicone case to avoid smudges and the leather case makes for a bulky player. so if you don't imagine that you would be walking around a lot with your player attach to your belt, just get a kroo silicone case (with a Best Skin Ever shield (google this!!!)) and you would have excellent protection that way too.

Digital camera Review: Essential
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this case along with my 30 GB Zen Vision M about five months ago and have been very pleased. The convenient hole in the bottom of the case allows the attachment of the Zen's proprietary dongle for charging/connecting to computer and I really never have to remove the Zen from its case for any reason. The kickstand is extremely useful for standing the Zen upright when attached to external speakers or just viewing video. The case is sturdy and protects the Zen from falls, dust and dirt very well. When I first received it, the leather was a bit stiff so manipulating the Zen's buttons was tricky, but after a few days it was not a problem. My case is in the baby pink color and it has never stained the back of my Zen and I have not experienced any scratching. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Digital camera Review: Excellent Case
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this for my Creative Zen Vision M after reading the reviews about the screen scratching easily. Plus, my mp3 players tend to fare better in life if they have cases.

I got the green case and it is quite lovely. The case is designed with the Vision in mind. None of the ports/buttons are covered or obstructed. The Vision is snug and secure in there and the stand is quite nice, although you have to play with it for a couple seconds to get it sitting just right on the table.

The only downside is that you cannot charge or dock while the Vision is in the case. However, I think that flaw is with the Vision, not the case. In order to be able to dock with the case on, it would have to have no bottom and that wouldn't work well at all.

Overall it's a great case. I was going to hold out for a Belkin one, since they made my Dell DJ case, and I'm glad I didn't wait. This case is great for my Vision.

Digital camera Review: Excellent hard wearing case
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this case back in December 2006 and have used it practically every day since. Its now 2010 and apart from a lot of scratches on the clear plastic screen where the case has been dropped frequently and the metal end of the belt clip falling off its still very usable.

I'm definitely going to purchase another as its been brilliant. I did find that one of the press studs at the back of the stand wore down after a while and initially the buttons were hard to press when the device was inside the case. However considering the amount of daily use and abuse I've given the case its held up exceptionally well and so far I haven't found anything better to replace it.

Digital camera Review: Good case, navigation is a problem though!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this case based on user reviews. Here's the things I like about it:

1) Stand, when I'm at my desk I can prop it up and easily see the screen while I listen or watch.
2) Easy removal, its very easy to remove the player if I want to have easier access for some reason. In my experience this is unusual, most cases take some work to remove so once you get your player in the case it stays in the case most of the time. Not so with this Kroo, I can pop it in and out in a heartbeat.
3) Good protection from bumps and scratches.
4) Its got a wonderful little metal loop which allows me to hook a carabeener on it and then I can hook it up to my belt loop which is so convenient.

However, I'm finding this case less than perfect in the following ways:

1) Navigation is a big problem, when I press the play button I never know what will happen; sometimes fast forward, sometimes the context menu. For this reason I often remove from the case if I want to mess with the buttons. I think this problem can be resolve by simply carving a bigger hole for the touch pad in the middle.
2) Virtually no protection rain or dust so I'm not going to be using it to mow lawns in the rain thats for sure! I may eventually have to buy another case for heavy duty applications.
3) with the stand and belt clip on the back this case does get a bit bulky to put in a pocket. If only they had attached the stand with two more buttons so it could be completely removed, then I could fit it into a pocket more comfortably.

Overall I think this is a good product with one major flaw that could probably be easily rectified with a slight design modification.
