Digital camera reviews of Creative Labs Armband for Zen, Zen MX (Black)

Digital camera Review: 1 star is 1 too many!
Summary: 1 Stars

Trying to get this armband on is comparable to using only one hand to put a diaper on a baby. It is difficult (or impossible) to wrap it around your arm, hold it in place, then stretch it tight. It is also too bluky and hot.

The screen is completely covered. Why? You can't see a thing. If you would like to experience this sensation before you buy this product, shut off your computer monitor and surf the web. It will give you the same results.

Everything the other 1 star reviews states is correct! I should have read them. I would not have purchased this item!

It is obvious that the person who designed this never tried to use it. If they had, they would have thrown it away (like I will do with mine!).

Digital camera Review: Avoid this one
Summary: 1 Stars

Yes, I read the reviews and bought it anyways (only because no other option was out there). Yes, I knew I would not be able to see the screen. Yes, I knew accessing the buttons would be a bit harder to use. Next I received it and it was just a headache. You have to take out the headphones before putting it in just to try and sneak them back in afterwards. Here is the big thing, the armband does not stretch! Getting it on your arm securely requires two people. How in the world did this thing get on the market??

Please, buy a case with a clip and clip it onto something else or simply wait for a different product to come out. This thing does not fit on an arm like any decent armband would.

Digital camera Review: Awesome!
Summary: 5 Stars

The reviews for this product were definitely steering me towards finding another product to use, but I bought this one anyway. I am so glad that I did. This armband has been perfect for my early morning runs!

Digital camera Review: Bad design makes it difficult to use
Summary: 2 Stars

I like the way this armband fits snugly on your arm. However, the fact that there is no opening on the Zen armband means that it is impossible to view the menu screen while it is inserted in the holder. To look at it, you have to slip it out of the holder which you cannot easily do while it is attached to your arm. Also, you have to put the Zen in the holder before you attach the earbuds because the earbuds insert into an opening in the closed end of the holder. Therefore, you can't be listening to the player while you are inserting it in the holder. Plus, if you need to look at the menu after you have the player in the holder, you have to pull the cord of the earbuds through the hole when you slip it out of the armband, or take the earbuds out entirely. Very awkward design. An open viewing area on the armband, more like the "skins" would have been a good choice, or at least perhaps being able to slip the player out of the armband on the same side as the slot for the earbud. I am quite disappointed in this design.

Digital camera Review: Buyer BEWARE!
Summary: 1 Stars

I purchased this product hoping it would be ideal to use during my workouts, unfortunately, it has a poor design. I received a new ZEN player as a gift and have been very protective of it, treating it with great care. So much, that I dared not work out with it until I purchased the arm band because I feared I might drop it, or get it hit. I noticed that after wearing the arm band with the player properly placed in the sleeve, the back side of the band which contacted my skin or my clothing was always damp after working out. I even overlapped the flap of the armband against my arm to allow extra protection for my Zen player from contacting any moisture that may come from my clothing or skin. The pocket the arm band is made out of is a soft, lightweight, porous-like material. It always felt damp after I worked out, so I wouldn't hesitate to remove my Zen from the pocket. Eventually, after using the arm band for no more than a month, I noticed that the radio component of the Zen began acting strangely (radio stations changing over to another station without me changing it, a lot of static, etc). I noticed that moving and handling the connection piece where the earphone enters the Zen, would help for a short while before the strange happenings accurred again. My only conclusion, since this was a new ZEN which I handled with care, was that moisture somehow got into the Zen player through the connection with my earphone or some other way. Since this is an electrical component, somewhat like a small computer, I truly believe a much better, moisture proof fabric could have been used where the Zen player makes contact with the body. It would have also been nice if there were some type of protective window so I could see what I was doing when changing the settings. Due to the expense and poor design of this band...BUYER BEWARE. If I had for seen what would have happened, I would never had purchased this product. The leather case which I also purchased is a much better deal. Unfortunately, my Zen is ruined due to this band!
