This thing is way to big and bulky to be useful. Not only that, but you have no way of seeing what you are doing. Basically you can press the buttons, but you can't see what menu you are on or anything. So you would have to set up a playlist, start it, put the Zen in the armband, then put the armband on and not need to touch it until your workout is done. No thanks. It is also awkward to put on. I ened up just getting rubber skin on ebay with a smaller elastic band for like $8 and it works like a champ. I rated this at 1 star because I had to. If I had a choice, I would have given it 0 stars.
I bought the Zen Armband because it's a Creative product, which in retrospect was a bad reason. I totally regret purchasing it and I am trying to return it. While it looks kind of cool, it is not fit for purpose.
It's cumbersome to set up. You have to select the play list, then put the Zen inside, then plug in the headphone. Since you can't see the screen, you must remove the Zen if want to select another playlist.
It's also cumbersome to put on and adjust to the right tension. Because it's not elastic, it doesn't stay in place on your arm, expecially if you're lifting weights.
I could probably live with all of that, but the fatal flaw in this product is that it absorbs sweat, which is obviously not very good if you want your Zen to last.
DO NOT purchase this product.

Before I bought this item, I did read the negative reviews and they did help. I knew that I would not be able to view the screen as I was working out. So I made a "workout" play list for when I go the the gym and the armband works out great. The soft "buttons" on the armband correspond very well with the actual buttons on the player and I can easily skip tracks or turn up the volume. The Velcro is very strong and seems durable. As long as you don't mind not being able to see the screen while working out, this is a great product.
