Digital camera Review: A Sound Choice ( Pardon the Pun )

This card replaces built in motherboard sound that lost the left channel. The computer only uses simple twin stereo speakers, not a surround setup
Pros: Easy install in PCI slot, software install was OK, sound is very good, decent price, delivery fast
Cons: Too many selections in the software for choices. Just install drivers
Works fine with my pair of speakers, has software options for surround sound if you need it

This was my first experience with the Audigy line and working with it made me glad I stuck with Soundblaster until X-Fi arrived! In my experience, installing this product in a friend's computer caused nothing but headaches. The largest of which was complete dial-up connection and sound failure when used at the same time. According to numerous Google searches none of these problems have any remedy, it doesn't even seem entirely clear what causes it. For my money, I would seek out a Soundblaster if I were on a budget or upgrade to X-Fi because the risk of failure with this product is too great.Digital camera Review: A bargain!

Before purchasing Augidy SE SB0570 I was sceptical about its qualities. By the way, I only got it by chance as my previuos sound card based on the ALC888 chipset stopped working suddenly. I thought I would only purchase a good quality card by selling my kidneys so I never minded much about getting a good card. However, Creative Augidy SE has changed my mind. It's unbelievable how a such inexpensive device could brought the sound quality of my desktop to a much higher standard.
Main improvements: clear and open midrange, good soundstage (with my previous sound card it didn't exist at all), trebles better defined and better dinamics.
As an audiophile I'm able to recommend an audio stuff. Believe me, the refered sound card is a bargain. Of course, don't expect a hi-end performance, but it's good enough to play those badly recorded MP3 files.

Creative SoundBlaster Audigy SE might not be the top of the line card manufactured by Creative, but it sounds like one. With 24-bit Advanced HD the card has the ability to work with headphones, 2, 2.1, 4, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 speaker systems. Sounds great with Acoustic Authority A-5640RB 5.1 speaker set. For the price you end up getting a great sounding card for use with movies, game, etc. The card is compliant with PCI 2.1. The newest drivers available on the Creative website adds EAX®4.0 ADVANCED HD(tm) capabilities.
