A great sound card for the price! I replaced my daughter's on-board sound with the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE and immediately noticed the difference. I plugged in the Logitech x-230 2.1 2-Piece Dual Drive Speakers with Ported Subwoofer- New Whitebox speaker system and the sound was great! This is not a 5.1 sound card. I repeat. THIS IS NOT A 5.1 SOUND CARD. I have years of experience with computers and with sound systems. I don't know why you would buy this card if it doesn't play 5.1 sound and the resulting sound is no better than the on-board sound. A waste of money. If you are still unconvinced of whether to buy this, then if you do, and in a year's time you need tech support or any type of question for that matter, they will not answer your email. No phone calls, no email, no nothing. They literally sent me an email saying after one year of purchase they will only offer support if I BOUGHT it! Wow! Instead of purchasing support for this card I bought a SIIG 7.1 sound card and love it. See my review.
