Digital camera reviews of Creative Labs Vado HD 720p Pocket Video Camcorder with 8 GB Video Storage and 2x Digital Zoom (Black) OLD MODELDigital camera Review: Awesome quality, easy to use Summary: 5 Stars
We got this a few days back, and now it is hard to put it down. It is very light weight, simple to operate, and everything you need to share your creations is at your fingertips. The quality of the video is amazing, and the camera and the simplicity could easily trick one into thinking that this is a toy. It is not!
More zoom levels and image stabilization would be nice additions, but could make it pricey. For the price and ease of use, we just love it. We now carry it with us everywhere, and have already recorded a few events of our kids activities that we would have missed otherwise.
Summary: It has fixed memory, but creates unlimited memories.
Digital camera Review: Awsome Camera/Video Summary: 5 Stars
I saw this camera on another web site but I still will give my review. This video camera is awesome Watch the HD quality this is the best little camera I've owned. I take it every where I go. The battery's power is unlike any camera in that size, the monitor is large for a camera of it's size to. It stores up to 2 hours of film time. the camera comes with all the plugs and cables you'll need to watch it on TV you can down load direct to u tube you can also go to there web site to get there up grade for video editing it also doe's still pictures. I would recommend this camera to anyone.
Digital camera Review: Best "flip" camera Summary: 5 Stars

Digital camera Review: Best image quality than any other pocket camcorder !! Summary: 5 Stars
I have compared footage from this Vado HD (frame-by-frame) with HD videos recorded at 1080p, 720p, and VGA resolutions from the Sony Webbie PM1, the Sony Bloggie CM5, the Samsung CL65 HD, and a few Canon Powershot cameras. The Vado produces -by far- the crisper frames, and higher image quality.
Pros:
- Best image quality bar none. It even remains blur-free when moving the camera around!
- Very wide lens, ideal for filming objects that are close without having to pan too much.
- Unreal crispness and clarity for its lens size, even in low light conditions.
- Performs well indoors and outdoors and always remains in focus.
- Colors look very bright (especially the greens and reds).
- Battery is removable.
- Real buttons (not touch sensitive) that are responsive and easy to navigate.
- The camera comes with the software (and especially the codec it needs) built in, so you don't have to install anything or hunt the internet for the right codec pack to view the files.
- The digital zoom is not half bad.
Cons:
- NO SLOT FOR ADDITIONAL MEMORY (and for the 8GB second gen. that may be ok, but for the third gen. Vado with only 4GB .. this is plain wrong!!! What were they thinking?!?)
- Colors are sometimes too vivid and the contrast sometimes too high (i.e. when filming the horizon and sky, the sky turns white/over exposed).
- There is no manual settings for saturation, exposure, or white balance.
- Sound is low and does not capture details (or noise).
Minor cons:
- No optical zoom. That would be great to have, but at that size and form factor, it seems unreasonable to ask for it.
Digital camera Review: Best pocket HD Summary: 4 Stars
I compared the Vado HD side by side with Flip Mino HD and Vado got my favor in both quality of video and functionality. Vado has a wider shot range and captures better images with proper white balance. The only drawback is that it records in AVI and doesn't have the perks of the Flip Mino HD internal application for the Mac but I got over that real quick when I saw the footage. Blows the Flip Mino HD away.
