Digital camera Review: 11 reasons why the MuVo is BETTER than an iPod
Summary: 5 Stars
1) Much smaller than an iPod.
2) Much lighter than an iPod. You won't even feel it when you're jogging. It weighs just 1.64 ounces.
3) Costs a fraction of what an iPod costs.
4) Easy to get songs on and off. Just plug into your USB port, then drag and drop your mp3's into the folder. Try THAT with an iPod.
5) Easy to modify, rename, and delete music folders. Just plug into your USB port and modify the folders. Try THAT with the complicated iTunes setup.
6) Has an FM radio. iPod does not.
7) Has a voice recorder. iPod does not.
8) Easily change songs and volume settings without looking at the device. MuVo has a protruding button that makes it easy to adjust settings even when running at full speed. No super sensitive iPod touchpad system to contend with.
9) Much less likely to be stolen than an iPod, and if it is, or if you lose it, no big deal because it's so inexpensive.
10) Easy to replace the batteries. Just open the back and put in a AAA. Try that with the iPod's non-replaceable proprietary battery.
11) Extremely well built. I've had mine for FIVE years! (I own the 256 mb version) Still works perfectly, and no scratches (if you haven't heard, iPods are very prone to scratching).
After five solid years of excellent performance, obviously I highly recommend this product. No iPod envy from me:-)

It's also notably compact, with a sleek white housing that measures 2.93 by 0.59 by 1.44 inches (W x H x D) and weighs only 1.16 ounces. And left-handed listeners will love the reversible, blue backlit LCD display, which flips around for easy viewing from either side.
The MuVo V100 is more than just an MP3 player, however. It also offers a drag-and- drop interface that lets you store text files, pictures, and more when connected to a PC. Simply slide the player apart, insert the USB plug into your computer, and transfer your music or data files onto the flash memory. As an alternative, listeners can record voice files via the built-in microphone. The voice recording function is the perfect way to capture seminars, meetings, song ideas, or even voice memos of your grocery list. And should you need to chase the blues away on a rainy day, you can turn to the lyric display function, which lets you sing along with your favorite artists (requires LRC files).
The MuVo V100 is outfitted with several audio extras, including a customizable five- band equalizer with four playback presets (jazz, rock, pop, and classical), a Favorites folder that shuffles all your favorite tracks while on the go, and AudibleManager support that lets you download, burn, organize, transfer, and listen to Audible audio content on your player. Other details include a volume restriction option that protects your hearing and an extra-long 18-hour runtime per AAA battery. The MuVo V100, which requires a minimum Pentium III 1 GHz or AMD Duron 1 GHz processor running Windows 2000 or XP, is backed by a one-year warranty on parts and a 90-day warranty on labor.
