The Creative Zen is awesome. It is so easy to use and with the large screen, you can actually watch a movie and see the participants. It recharges with a usb cord so your options for charging it are varied. With the large screen and the option of suplimenting the onboard 16GB of memory using 16GB SDHC cards allows you to have an endless supply of movies, videos, photos & music at hand. Sinces it is Audible ready you can have all of your audio books with you all the time. My friends that have the ipod are jealous and I can understand why especially sinces it can play many of the Itunes as well. I Have listened to my friends complain about their Itunes and not being able to transfer them and having all this music that they cannot listen to except on an Ipod. I do not have this problem as the Zen plays regular mp3 files among others.Digital camera Review: Better than Ipods

This player was amazingly simple to get started with. I was able to have all my music on it within a few hours of receiving it in the mail. If you're trying to decide between the Zen and an Ipod I would recommend the Zen. With plenty of memory and a decent sized screen, the Zen blows away the Ipod Nano in both value and ability. Do NOT buy the Create Zen 16 GB MP3 player. Although it gets glowing reviews from journalists, they neglect to tell you about the tendency of this device to become useless when the firmware upgrade dies.My Zen didn't even last 30 minutes out of the package. First you install software, then update that software, then update the firmware. All seemed to go well until the Zen tried to reset itself after the firmare update.No joy. It's dead with no OS. It looks nice. But mine is subject to the "white screen of death." I purchased it in May 2008, it has the latest firmware, and it simply doesn't work. Will return it tomorrow.
