Digital camera Review: Best MP-3 / Video player out for the Money....

I've owned many MP-3 players over the years, Dell Jukebox, 1st generation Zune and others. Some have broke some have been lost or stolen but in all the creative Zen line is the best. I still currently own a creative zen w which has worked flawlessly for years, and it's loaded with tv shows and music. I record shows on my pc and then transfer them to my zen and play them through my cars audio sytem on lunch, I never miss a show or not find time to watch one. I've owned the zen 8 gb for a few months now and have never gotten a white screen or any lock up at all. My favorite part is that the memory is expandable through sd cards, the same my camera uses so I have a few. Another plus is that you can just take the sd card out of your camera and plug it in the zen and all your pictures are there for the showing. The screen is crisp and clear, the sound is superb and the controls are easy to use as is the software. We own a creative zen w , a creative stone and now this and they all work without a hitch. Creative also lets you play all styles of audio and many video formats, many of the others don't. Especially Ipods which want you to use there format. But then again apple has always tried to just have you use there formats.

I hate ear buds so I use this with a pair of Sennheiser PX 100 Collapsible Headphones and the sound couldn't get any better.

I've tried many MP3's to primarily listen to audio books. The sound in this player for songs seems just fine, but I can't compare this to other players.
What I love most about this player is its bookmarking feature. While listening, the user hits the upper right "options" button and a drop down will say "save bookmark". Selecting it will place that part of the track into one of 10 entries. To return, just turn the player on and go to the main menu option "bookmarks". I believe I made bookmarks a main menu item. The player will allow you to change sub-menu items into main menu items to save on clicks. I recommend this player...subsequent models did not get as good a review. Also, size is not really an issue. 4MG will hold lots of books.
(I must add that I also have quite a few pictures on this player as well, and it will play movies and videos.)

I first bought a Phillips Go Gear because I liked the sleek look and thought it would do what I needed it to do. I had it for only 2 weeks when I became so frustrated, I returned it. It wouldn't transfer my playlists and I found it not to be very user friendly. I then began my search for one that suited all my needs. That's when I found the ZEN.... It is absolutely amazing! It does everything I need it to do... music, pictures, movies/videos, syncs with my Outlook (contacts, calendar, tasks), radio, SD slot for more storage, etc. It offers everything the IPOD offers for half the price. It's incredibly easy to sync as well. ZEN supports ITunes and Windows Media Player. The design is sleek with a large enough screen to even view a movie without giving me a headache. I'm not very gadget savvy, but the ZEN is so user friendly, I've recommended it to all my friends. Several have already put it on their Christmas lists for themselves and their loved ones. Best purchase this year, along with my Keurig coffee maker. I love them both!

The sound quality from the Zen is outstanding. And that is really what it is all about, right? The included earbuds are too large and uncomfortable for me to use. Listening through my 15 year old Sony headphones is breathtaking.
Build quality is respectable for the price/value rationconsidering you get 8GB memory AND a SD slot for extra storage. Hard plastic with cleanly desgned curves and controls. The controls can be a bit on an issue. I thought 3 different controls was a good idea at first. But after fumbling with the controls on a dark bus a few times I can see the beauty of a simplified control interface. Not a deal breaker, but definitely a consideration if you plan to do alot of moving around in the menus especially while in poorly lit surroundings.
I still think this is the best value for an 8GB flash plaer out there right now.
I would buy it again.
Digital camera Review: Better Than I Was Expecting. A Great Buy!

I bought this about a month ago. I currently have 6 movies on it and 1000 songs. I love it.
But let me tell you about the problems cuz thats what people want to know about.
It doesn't work well with itunes purchased video. The podcast videos are fine. The purchased videos always have glitches. I've become adept at bittorrents so now I don't have that problem.
I have reset the player twice. Once because windows media screwed up and gave me 2 copies of everything. The other time was when some of the titles were missing in certain songs. Both problems were solved.
The video is crisp and clean. Very vivid.
The sound is awesome. The head phones that comes with the player are GREAT. I went and purchased a $30.00 pair of phones that didn't compare. I went back to the originals.
I had an ipod video player (which was stolen). I like this much better.
