Digital camera reviews of Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player PinkDigital camera Review: An excellent iPod equivalent Summary: 4 Stars
I got mine in January, actually, I just never reviewed or anything. I'd done a huge amount of research to try and find something decent that wasn't an iPod. I was really considering the Dell Pocket DJ, but I'm a lot happier with this. First off, the size. I had read all the descriptions and everything, but it seemed so small in real life. I had some trouble with the touch-sensitive stuff at first, for, oh, maybe five hours, before I mastered it, and now I'm fine. The accessories it came with are great, I've used the hard case since I got it, and it's done quite well on one big, big fall on cement. I'm not really an expert on headphones, but I'm considering replacing mine (5 months later), mostly because I'm not a big fan of earbuds. The replacable battery was the deciding factor for me. I'm not exactly rich, and I can't see myself replacing anything that costs this much every two years, or however often. The recording is great, the radio is okay, but it doesn't pick up several stations. Granted, it is quite far away and I wasn't expecting anything with something this tiny. I would definitely recommend it, though everyone I know already has their iPod mini.
-So here I am, and after a solid nine months of micro bliss, mine has a major issue. The headphone jack isn't working, and you can only hear if the headphones (yet another pair of earbuds) are turned a certain way. And knowing my luck with electronics, this will be considered normal wear. So now I get to go try and get it fixed, which should be interesting. If it doesn't work, I'm getting a mini or a nano.
Digital camera Review: Creative Zen Micro 5 GB MP3 Player Pink Summary: 5 Stars
I ordered this for my daughter. She has been saving up her money for a long time. She had been thinking of getting a mini ipod, but the zen had more of the other features that she wanted. She likes having the fm radio and the fact that she could get the zen in her favorite color.
Digital camera Review: Creative Zen is wonderful Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my creative Zen mp3 player for about 2 weeks now and i love it. It's 'control pad' is so much easier and user friendly then the i-pod mini's circle thing. The major reason for why i bought this product over the i-pod mini is that the battery in the Zen player is replacable, where when the i-pod battery dies, you must either pay A LOT of money to get it repaired or buy a whole new i-pod. Another reason that i bought the Zen was that it has much more memory space compared to the i-pod mini 4GB, for just a few more dollars. Another reason that i purchased the Zen over the i-pod mini was the fact that I could go anywhere on the net to download music, and not just through i-tunes. I use napster-to-go, and it is amazing (plus you get a month free with the creative zen player). With napster it's $14.95 a month for unlimited downloads, i-tunes is $.99 a song. My last reason was for the design, the i-pod mini looks very cheap compared to the zen. The Zen has curved edges and the i-pod hes sharp edges, and the i-pod mini just looks like it will break very easily. The only bad thing about the Zen that I can think of is the radio that the Zen comes with (the i-pod mini doesn't). The reception is fine one moment and the next it's totatlly horrible. I have to hold the headphone wires way above my head to get a signal. All in all, this is an amazing player, and i would recomend it to anyone. It has many advantages over the i-pod. An amazing design and great sound quality.
Digital camera Review: Don't be deceived Summary: 1 Stars
Don't be deceived, like I was, with the cool looks and lights,This product is awful. Within the year I owned the zen micro,it's done nothing but freeze up and take numerous trips back and forth for service. I expressed my dismay to the company "Creative" to be told I shouldn't be carrying it around. I'm sorry I thought that's what portable meant! The company basically told me after voicing my concerns they have freezing issues and yet to bad for me because my warranty has run out. Customer service was no help and product STINKS!!!!
Digital camera Review: Good for those who aren't stuck on IPODS Summary: 4 Stars
I really like this player. The first day I got the player I wasn't used to the EXTREMELY senstive touch pads and pressed to many buttons too fast and it freezed. All I had to do was take out the batteries and it worked fine. It takes awhile to get used to the senstive scrool pad, but i like this thing better then the ipod. The software is extremely easy to use it's a lot like itunes. The only real con with this player is the battery life. If you listen to it for like an hour to 2 hours straight it'll be out of battery. That kind of makes it a hassle but its worth it. I really like this player better than ipods i've used. It's looks are awesome. it's WAY smaller than the ipod mini in my opinion, and the blue light around the outside is very cool. I've had many compliments about its looks and one of my friends bought one because she loved mine so much. It can fit in your pocket easily and you can throw it in your purse as well. The earbuds it comes with are not so great i went out and got some $30 really good earbuds to replace the ones the manufactuers give you, they have good sound, but fall out of your ears. Overall this is a really cool looking, durable, little guy who will make you happy.
