Digital camera Review: An Impressive MP3 Player

I searched all over for an alternative to the way overpriced and overrated iPod, and I fortuantly came across the Zen. I had been impressed earlier by the Creative's soundcards, so I ordered one. I love this thing. You don't need any applications to use it. All you have to do is put the CD in, and say do not install applications. However, the bundled applications are much worth it. ZENcast is an awesome podcast receiver, and Creative Media Explorer is great for not so computer savvy people. The device feels firm in your hand, and all the buttons are easily excessable. I would recomend picking up a skin though, because you will drop this thing occasionaly. Strangly enough, I have dropped this thing about 10 times without a skin, and the thing has never changed. Another thing you may want to get is another pair of earbuds. The ones included outstrip the iPod ones by about a mile, but to really enjoy the awesome sound quality you need new ones. The E4s are oaky, but the ones that sync the best with it are the V MODA'S. They are the best for it's sound.
Overall a great product, and I would reccomend it to people who would rather not pay outragous iPod prices.

A couple thing I must mention (if I have too) It would be nice to have a wall charger and the battery life could be a little better.

I purchased this product in October and I absolutely love this MP3 player. Creative has wonderful software for the computer so that my MP3 player works well for me. The recording feature works very well! As long as your subjects voice is not in the midst of a lot of other noise, it is very audible. But it does not block out other noises. I have used it twice, once in a basement with other people far away on the other side of the room and my subjects right in front of the player speaking directly into the microphone and they were crystal clear. But when I used it at a party and the subjects were across the table with many other people talking some of the other voices were clear, but my subjects were still able to be heard. I think if I used it in a classroom there would be no problem as long as the other people were relatively quite. But even in a room full of noise, if your subject is right in front of the microphone, no problem with crystal clear recordings! This zen is a sleek awesome device with things like video and picture it totally out ranks the Ipod. When I ordered it I thought it would break if I dropped but I did drop it and nothing happened. It works on every type of music and sounds great. I especially like to listen to led zeppelin and it sounds like you're at a concert. All my friends have one and im glad I bought this and the price is great so if you want something cheap and awesome buy this zen.
The only down side is that sometimes while playing a video it freeze's. But that's the only bad thing.

This two gigabyte music/photo/video player from Creative is one of the best that you can get for its price. However, to watch videos on it, you must uncompress them using the included software to very large sizes, otherwise, the player's weak processor would not be able to play it. A five megabyte may be expanded to about fifty megabytes or more. Other than this disadvantage, this media player is a very good choice.
