I love my Zen V. I've had mine since August. The only thing I regret is getting the 2GB instead of the 4GB. I did have some trouble with it freezing and locking up, but I contacted customer service and they actually sent me a new one. I didn't care for the ear buds at all, they where horrible. But what do you expect? So instead I invested in a pair of EP-630 Earphones by creative. LOVE them. Greetings to all potential Creative customers,
I was greatly disturbed today when I found out the lack of help provided by the Creative Labs Company to my wife when her 30 GB Zen MP3 player failed to run properly. In my opinion, it's actions like this that are ruining companies and our country's economy. Due to this company's inaction today, they have lost a once satisfied customer. Once being more than happy to promote this product, now we will be sure to divulge to our friends and relatives of this company's lack of helpfulness. My wife asked specific questions of the technical advisors in the e-mail form which were ignored; she was given a form letter, was referred to the website, and was told that she would be charged by the company for further help. She expressly requested the guidance of upper management from the technical support specialist, and this request was ignored, proving that Creative Labs is unwilling to provide any kind of meaningful help and does not value customer service. The menial help that the highly flawed website provided was a firmware application that caused the device to completely fail, and then the last piece of friendly advice that we received was that we should purchase a new one from the company's website. We were given an application that made our expensive device inoperable, and for that, I will never purchase another Creative product again. We have both been faithful Creative Labs buyers for years, and my wife had multiple friends and relatives buy their products based on her recommendations. It is with deep regret that I inform all that Creative Labs customer service has proven to be a bitter disappointment and for this, they have lost my family's business.

I would NEVER get an Ipod!! I find Creative's products superior and easier to work with/download music to, etc. And the price is much better also!! There are some bad things, such as you need to download firmware to change the time, etc., but after you do that, it is great. You do very often need to manually change the artist, name of song, and album if you want to find a certain song easily (if you're not using iTunes to download files.) It is pretty loud if you turn it all of the way up, which is a plus if you want that, and the AM/FM radio gets pretty good reception. It is easy to put music and video on it, and converts the video so that you don't have to download only a special type. The menu is easy to use, and the joystick navigation is a plus. If you turn it off while listening to a song, it goes right back to the same spot when you turn it back on. It does scratch easily, so a case is recommended. It comes with a lanyard so you can use it at the gym or while jogging. The CD that it comes with includes all of the software you need for it. It only comes with a USB charger, so if you aren't near a computer a lot, you might want to buy the AC or car charger. It does charge fully after a few hours, and holds the charge for a long time. You can make playlists so that you can listen to all of your favorite music in a row instead of manually selecting it. This is a great product, and holds a lot of songs.
