Was debating between buying RAM here or at Crucial till I found out this Amazon RAM was through Crucial. That mean I could apply my rewards!
My first shipment the RAM packaging in the container was not sealed to the 2 GB chips bounced around the box all the way here. They did not work.
But one RMA and exchange later another shipment arrived everything was up and running. The ordeal took about 2 days.

After two years of ownership, my laptop wasn't working too well. It took forever to start up and shut down and getting things done was an exercise in patience. Instead of tossing the old PC, I decided to perk it up with some more memory. Using Crucial's website, I determined what type of memory I needed and ordered it from Amazon. I increased my memory from 512MB to 2GB. The package had 2 1GB modules. Installation took all of 5 minutes. I just opened the memory hatch on the bottom of my laptop, popped out the old module and slid in the new ones. The moment I fired up the PC running Crucial's memory, it instantly perked up. It was like a brand new computer! Now I can multi-task like never before. Crucial's memory was very helpful. I do not know why it took me so long to increase the speed on my Dell five-year old laptop. Even though I was ok with its 1 GB speed, I knew it would be faster with 2 GB. To find out how to install the chips, I first went to Youtube videos to get that info, it was very clear, concise and well explained. I then made sure I ordered the correct chips for my laptop, and I received the 2 chips (2 x 1GB each)a few days later. At first, the new chips did not work, until I realized I had not installed the chips firmly in their slots; I reset them again tightly this time, replaced the battery, turned on the laptop and it now works wonders.
