My laptop (Dell Inspiron E1705) seems to be better. I didn't notice the difference at all, until I formatted and tried the new 2GB on a fresh install. Originally I had 768MB. Boot up time increased. Program access is still slow, but it is an older laptop with an Intel Core DUO 1.66Ghz...but the ram has worked out pretty well so far.Digital camera Review: Crucial 2gb set

After Pricing the 2gig ram for my laptop and finding it expensive I decided to shop around and with a little Luck find it a ressonable price wrll here came and went ebay bestbuy priceline not to forget the Manufacture and circut city comp usa just to mention a few and all were in the same price range Then I went to where I was going to start AMAZON and they had a super item at a super deal
purchased the 2 gigs put it in the laptop with no problem fired it up and went on my way sent an email to thank Amazon and am happy to say it works great

I ordered this through Amazon, which passed the correct order onto Crucial. Crucial shipped me DIMM instead of SODIMM. After phoning them and being left on hold for 40 minutes, they:
1) refused to acknowledge they had made a mistake (despite the shipping order enclosed with ram providing all the correct order details)
2) insisted that I ship the ram back AT MY EXPENSE
3) would not ship me the correct ram at the price advertized on Amazon -- they wanted to charge $12 more

Summary: 5 Stars These were easy to install and sped up my macbook quite a bit. At first it seemed like they did nothing but i think maybe it just takes a short while for the memory to load on the the sticks (?). After i opened and then closed all my programs, they were much faster to open the next time around. $25 for a faster computer...not too bad.
