Digital camera Review: A little gem of a dock

If you can live without some extra features, such as time display, alarm-clock, or remote control, I think you will find this to be an exceptional little dock for the money. The sound quality is more than adequate for me, and its compact design allows me to place it on top of my digital alarm clock on my nightstand. It comes with about a half dozen different sized adapters to give a custom fit to many popular iPods. My antique Pod (a 60gig G4), was not represented however. But a quick call to their customer service dept (in the USA) got me the correct adapter, (at no cost) by mail in a day or two. I must admit: the first day I attempted to use this with my iPod Touch, I was ready to return it! But, I quickly learned it was operator error...I had not removed the iPod's skin before seating it in the dock. Let's just say after I figured that out, I couldn't be happier with the performance of this product! : )
I am currently using it in a 300-400 square feet office setting. I don't have to have the volume at maximum level for everyone in the office to enjoy the music.
I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the product description, but several adapters come with the dock; this makes it compatible with many different iPod generations.
This was a great find for me at a spectacular price!

As a longime audiophile and stickler for quality and value, I generally have high demands and expectations. Especially if I am going to rate a product highly, as is the case with this wondrous little unit. Let me just say it straight- this little unit (barely taller than an iPOD Touch) sounds utterly AMAZING for it's size and price! I was pleasantly surprised when I first listened to it with some of my favorite tunes (rock, jazz, latin guitar, and classical). It reproduces ample midrange detail in your music, with ample bass and shimmering highs. The music sounds 'full bodied' and timbrally accurate, and as if it is emanating from a much larger unit with larger speakers. I don't know how the engineers did it, but they deserve kudos. For those concerned that it has no tone controls, don't worry. You don't need any (you can adjust EQ and tone controls on your iPOD if you really wish). Volume level capability is more than ample to fill a small to medium room. Also, I really like the 'standby' switch as well, which pauses play to answer a phone or talk to a family member. When pressing this switch, the unit has a blue LED light which switches from blue to red and back again when you press the switch again to play your music. Adapters are included for iPOD Touch, iPOD Nano (4th gen), 60G iPOD with video and 160G iPOD classic, and 30G iPOD with video and 80G iPOD classic. A double male mini stereo cord is also included in order to use the unit with other MP3 players plugged into a jack on the back. This affordable, compact unit produces exceptional sound quality and remarkable clarity. It compares favorably to the Bose products, but at a lower price tag. We use in the country with batteries, and never fail to be amazed at the the quality coming from such a light-weight, easy-to-use machine. For the price, this offers an exceptional value.
