This is my second unit. I sent the first one back because I heard static and crackling noises when I connected my iPod Touch to it. In one of the reviews someone suggested disabling the wi-fi on the Touch so I ordered another one (and the price had gone down) to see if that would take the noise away and it did. This little unit is worth the money. The sound is awesome for it's size and price. I use it in my home and I couldn't be happier. I love the fact that it charges my iPod and the charge seems to last longer for some reason. I highly recommend this unit. If I were having a party with lots of people and noise I would use something else but for what I'm using it for it's perfect. When I first opened these set of speakers I thought it was good quality. But then after a mounth, these speakers started to emit a buzzing sound every 15 seconds. It drove me nuts. Finally I returned them and switched to better quality speakers.
Pros:
With the economy getting worse,10 bucks (thats what i got mine for) is considered very cheap for a pair of ipod speakers. The way the speakers are designed, was portable and durable. It even comes with a carrying bag. At first the sound quality is good. The buzzing sound probably only happens to 1/10 people. When I returned the speakers, I got a full refund. Finally it was nice that power could come from AAA batteries and a socket.
Cons:
Obviously, the biggest disadvantage is that buzzing sound. Before the defects, there were several improvements that could have been made. First, the speakers should have come with a remote. Maybe I'm just lazy but it got tiring when ever I wanted to raise the volume or change the song, I had to walk across the room. Second, the speakers needed more "stuff". It had 3 buttons, 2 for volume, one for power. At least add a play/pause button! Third, the shipping of this equipment took a relatively long time : a weed and a half. I might be being to strict on the cons for it's a $10 bargain but the things that I listed should apply to all Ipod speakers.
If the buzzing defect did not occur, then I would've rated this a 4-star. Now I'm telling you, it is not worth 10 bucks. Don't fall for cheap prices like I did. At least by a speaker that works!

After seeing several mini speaker systems, I came across the Cyber Acoustics Portible Speakers. Made the purchase for my Hawaii Trip. Best little thing in the world. The battery lasted over 10 days, we had it on a boat in the middle of the Pacific and came in handy when we needed a little entertainment. I questioned this product because of it's price but was very surprised and totally satisfied after power-up. Put it anywhere in the house for great sound. It has the ability to run from batteries so it's perfect for the bookshelf in the living room or in the garage when I'm wrenching. We use re-chargable AA batteries (4) and it runs forever. I've had this for a month and don't know how we lived without music anywhere and everywhere whatever the mood. I admit when I took it out of the box I questioned the ability but was totally surprised when the speakers rocked. Take it from someone that doesn't leave lengthy reviews or none at all, the is worth it. Good Job. Best regards, O'Brien
