Digital camera Review: Buyer Beware

After having all brands of headsets ranging in price from under 15.00 to over 40.00. I think I've become somewhat of a headset expert. This pair didn't last very long. In less than a month, I noticed problems with the right side audio. I was also constantly asked to speak louder when I used the headset to make VOIP calls. Eventually the mic digressed from low audio, to static to nothing at all. I urge anyone seeking a quality VOIP (or gaming even) headset to do your research. As for using this pair to listen to music, it provided minimal quality insofar as bass or solid delivery of clear, crisp audio. For music I cannot even recommend this particular make. As for longevity, you'll be lucky if this headset lasts a full year. Do your homework and watch for such things as extra long cabling to the headpiece (this goes for ear buds style as well), swivel mics that don't come close to your mouth, and flimsy mute/volume switches. As for comfort this headset is tight and its cheap feel gives it a shoddy workmanship look. Price-wise, it's too high and should be sold for much less, considering all of the flaws (poor earphone & mic sound quality) and lack of longevity (lasted under 4 months).
I will not recommend to anyone that they purchase this brand and I hope my honest review helps someone else not have to deal with having to waste their money. This gets one star at best.

First of all: The description of this product shows an in-line volume adjustment. The product I received --which had the same model number-- had no volume adjustment. The description needs to be updated. If this is a feature you are specifically looking for, you should not buy this product.
Pros: They are cheap and they (sort of) work.
Cons: The volume/sensitivity must be adjusted from the mixer panel within windows; that's a pain. Additionally, the sound is "tinny" with music. When there is no music or other sound there is a constant whine through the speakers. This could, of course be my computer; however, I have not experienced it with any other headphones plugged into this jack.
I am not returning these because they are inexpensive, and they meet the basic needs which is a headset for my kids to use Rosetta Stone, and my desire to not pay a lot of money to replace the headset they broke -- so, I suppose being grossly inferior to our previous set, they also serve as an object lesson as well. Nevertheless, punishment is not normally a plus for buying a headset.
You get what you pay for.

Digital camera Review: Can't beat it

While not the most comfortable of headsets these are without a doubt a very nice set if you use them regularly. What I mean is, I've had this set before and they have lasted me an entire 2 years. Granted you sacrifice comfort, especially during long bouts, but the sound is nice and for the amount you pay you really can't beat it. Also if you have a big head like me you may have to get used to the tightness for a few sittings till they get worn in.

Digital camera Review: Cheap Headphones with expected lack of quality

I bought these to use with foreign language programs and they fit the bill. Unfortunately they are poorly constructed and very uncomfortable to wear. The description says that they are reversible, but in fact they can comfortably be worn in only one direction. The sound quality is not great so I wouldn't recommend for general use. Basically these are poorly built headphones that have a microphone, which is why I bought them.
Also, it doesn't have a USB connection, which I did not realize.
